Job Description

Toyota Sunnyvale is hiring a Sales Consultant to join our team.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, follows a process, and is willing to put in the daily effort it takes to be successful in automotive sales.

This is not just a “sit and wait” sales position. Success comes from follow-up, communication, product knowledge, customer service, and consistently using our A-to-Z sales process.

Our team follows a structured A-to-Z sales process, so customers receive a consistent, professional experience from the first conversation through vehicle delivery. Training and coaching are provided, but we are looking for someone who is motivated, dependable, and open to learning.

Compensation

Expected earnings: $50,000-$300,000 annually

Actual earnings vary based on individual performance.

Responsibilities
  • Candidate must be able to generate appointments and 12-15 sales per month through floor traffic, email, phone calls, text messages, referrals, etc.
  • Assist incoming clients and incoming phone calls.
  • Be available to respond to clients via email, phone, and text in a professional, well-spoken manner.
  • Quotes pricing, rates, and automobile availability to clients.
  • Understands and implements the dealership sales process (training provided).
  • Learn product knowledge on the current model line and become a certified product representative.
  • Assist customers in selecting a vehicle by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses.
  • Build strong rapport with customers.
  • Perform high-quality, professional, knowledgeable presentations and demonstrations of new/used vehicles.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction.

Requirements


Requirements
  • 1+ years of previous sales experience preferred.
  • Automotive sales experience preferred.
  • Friendliness, enthusiasm, reliability, with a positive "team-player" attitude.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • The willingness to continually follow up with clients.
  • Valid in-state driver’s license and an acceptable, safe driving record.
  • Weekends are required
