the job:

As the Trade Marketing Manager, you will lead omni-channel retail strategy and execution for Sephora and Ulta, turning brand campaigns into tailored 360 activation plans that drive awareness, conversion, and sustained growth. You will serve as the voice of the brand to the customer and the voice of the customer to the brand, building strong relationships with retailer partners while collaborating closely with internal teams to deliver impactful in-store, digital, CRM, sampling, and event programs. You will oversee visual merchandising, retailer toolkits, and launch readiness, ensuring cohesive and compelling execution across all touchpoints. With a strong analytical lens, you will evaluate performance, competitive activity, and category trends to uncover opportunities and provide clear, insight-driven recommendations. You will also manage timelines, budgets, and project workflows with precision, ensuring operational excellence and seamless cross-functional alignment.


salary: $100,000 - $110,000 + bonus

location: remote- east coast proffered (must be based in + have the right to work in the US)


what you'll do: 

omni-channel strategy & activation

  • translate brand campaigns into retailer-specific, 360° activation plans across sephora and ulta (including but not limited to in-store.com, app, CRM, sampling, social extensions, events).
  • develop and nurture relationships with retailer customer teams and participate in joint business planning to develop win-win strategies that lead to both brand growth and category growth with the retailer customer
  • partner with account management and brand marketing team to build launch and core business support plans that drive awareness, conversion, and ongoing growth.
  • lead visual merchandising briefs and execution for gondola updates, planograms, in-store storytelling, eventing, and print collateral.
  • own retailer toolkits—ensuring all copy, artwork, comps, images, and assets are delivered accurately and on time.
  • collaborate with creative, sales, education, field, e-retail, and supply chain to ensure commercial readiness for every launch.

 

insights, performance & optimization

  • analyze retailer performance including top doors, sku productivity, promo results, event performance, and category trends.
  • track competitive activity across sephora and ulta in-store and online to surface opportunities and emerging white space.
  • build post-program recaps and ROI analyses, sharing key takeaways and future recommendations with cross-functional partners.
  • support forecasting conversations with insights around launch pacing, lifecycle performance, and sampling conversion.

 

cross-functional + retailer communication

  • participate in regular business reviews, line reviews, and joint business planning with retailer partners.
  • maintain internal calendars, trackers, timelines, and weekly updates to ensure alignment across teams.
  • collaborate with global product marketing to provide retailer-specific insights during innovation development.
  • serve as a key liaison between sales, creative, VM, education, influencer/PR, paid/social, and field teams for integrated execution.

 

project + budget management

  • manage in-store and event budgets; ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • oversee sampling deployment, promo kits, trial-driving initiatives, and retailer-exclusive program execution.
  • maintain a high bar for operational excellence—organization, accuracy, delivery, and follow-through. 


must haves:

  • 3–5+ years of experience in trade marketing, retail marketing, or omni-channel marketing within beauty or another consumer category with strong retail velocity.
  • Sephora experience is required; brand-side experience strongly preferred.
  • digitally fluent with an understanding of sephora.com, the sephora app, ulta.com, CRM, loyalty levers, and digital merchandising best practices.
  • data-curious with strong analytical skills; comfortable digging into sell-through, category trends, competitive insights, and ROI.
  • collaborative, proactive, and positive—someone who thrives in a fast-paced, growing brand environment.
  • strong communicator with excellent deck-building and storytelling skills.
  • organized, detail-obsessed, and able to manage multiple priorities at once.

  • experience in prestige or masstige haircare
