Lamar Advertising is looking for a Training & Sales Support Strategist for our Transit & Airport division! The Training & Sales Support Strategist leads training and sales enablement strategy across the U.S. Transit, Canada Transit, and Airport divisions to drive revenue growth under the direction of the AVP. This position serves as the primary liaison to field sales teams, developing full-lifecycle learning programs and providing strategic oversight of the fulfillment team to deliver high-quality RFPs, sales collateral, and market research. This role upholds the commitment to optimizing support workflows, evaluating performance metrics, and continually adapting resources to meet evolving business needs.

  • Requires high-level executive communication and interaction skills
  • Ability to approach complex problems with a creative mindset, consistently looking beyond conventional methods to develop unique, effective solutions.

Education and Experience:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field: Marketing, Advertising, Mass Communication, or Business.
  •  7+ years of related work experience.

Preferred:

  • Above-mentioned experience, preferably in the outdoor advertising industry
  • Experience in supervising.

A day in the life:

  • Training & Development:
    • Lead the strategy, development, and execution of comprehensive training and development programs across U.S. Transit, Canada Transit, and Airport region, including:
    • Employee onboarding and offboarding programs
    • Customized welcome kits and onboarding experiences
    • Role-based learning paths
    • Individual, team, monthly, and division-wide training
    • AE School planning and execution
    • Leadership development initiatives
    • Sales process and product training
    • Ongoing education on industry trends, technology, and competitive insights
    • Training measurement, adoption, and continuous program improvement
  • Sales Enablement & Support:
    • Provide strategic leadership over daily sales support operations by:
    • Overseeing the delivery of research, audience insights, mapping, ratings, case studies, proposals, and sales materials
    • Ensuring all content meets quality, branding, and deadline expectations
    • Managing Highspot content strategy and sales resource distribution
    • Continuously improving enablement processes, workflows, and support tools
    • Optimizing customer touchpoint programs and sales engagement resources
    • Serving as the primary point of contact for sales support needs across Transit and Airport divisions
  • RFP & Proposal Excellence:
    • Provide leadership over the TAS fulfillment process to ensure:
    • Best-in-class RFP responses
    • Consistent quality, accuracy, and compelling storytelling
    • Timely completion of all proposal deliverables
    • Effective utilization of research, analytics, mapping, and supporting data
    • Continuous refinement of proposal standards and best practices
  • Leadership & Performance Reporting:
    • Develop and deliver monthly executive reporting and KPI dashboards
    • Analyze training effectiveness, sales support utilization, RFP performance, and operational metrics
    • Provide actionable recommendations to leadership to improve productivity and revenue performance
    • Monitor emerging industry trends and recommend enhancements to training, enablement, and support strategies
  • Cross-Functional Leadership:
    • Partner with Sales Leadership, Marketing, Business Development, Creative, Research, and Operations to align enablement initiatives with strategic priorities
    • Build scalable processes that improve efficiency and consistency across all divisions 
    • Champion a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, innovation, and operational excellence.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • The primary work environment is an office.
  • The physical demands include: lifting less than 25%, seeing: reading, color distinction, acuity, depth perception, sitting greater than 50% of the time, and talking.
  • The typical percentage of time spent traveling and spending nights away from home is less than 25%.
