Job Description:

The Treasury Advisory Executive (Director) is a senior member of the Global Payments Solutions (GPS) Advisory team within the Specialized Product Sales group, reporting directly to the Global Head of Advisory. This role delivers independent, consultative treasury advisory services to a broad client base including multinational corporations, financial institutions, and public sector organizations. The position is focused on helping clients address complex treasury challenges through strategic insights, industry expertise, and best practices guidance. The role operates in close partnership with GPS Sales, Client Coverage, and Product Management teams, while maintaining a primary focus on delivering client advisory, thought leadership, and market insights to complement GPS solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Client Advisory & Strategic Engagement

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders in finance and treasury functions, provide objective guidance on treasury strategy, operating models, and transformation initiatives.

  • Lead consultative discussions to understand client needs, challenges, and priorities relevant to corporate treasury, and develop tailored insights and recommendations for addressing them.

  • Support client engagements through the development of advisory content, diagnostic frameworks, and strategic perspectives.

  • Collaborate with internal partners across product, GPS Sales, and Client Coverage to ensure alignment of advisory insights with broader client engagement and acquisition strategies.

Treasury Advisory Expertise

Provide guidance across a range of corporate treasury topics, including:

  • International expansion and operating model design

  • Shared Service Center operations and treasury centralization

  • Liquidity management and cash structuring models

  • Business resilience, governance, and compliance

  • Treasury technology, including ERP and Treasury Management Systems (TMS) integration

  • Treasury transformation, operational process workflow and organizational design

Typical engagement scenarios include:

  • Mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures (integration and optimization)

  • Risk management frameworks and methodologies

  •  Order-to-cash and procure-to-pay optimization

  • Cash forecasting and liquidity management strategies

  • In-house bank structures and treasury centralization initiatives 

Market Intelligence & Thought Leadership

  • Conduct ongoing research into global treasury trends, market developments, and emerging operating models to assist clients with interpretation and impact analysis.

  •  Identify and analyze treasury-related industry trends, competitive dynamics, and evolving client needs.

  • Develop and deliver thought leadership content, including presentations, white papers, and client-facing materials.

  • Represent the bank at industry forums, conferences, and client events as a subject matter expert.

Internal Partnership & Contribution

  • Collaborate with internal teams to support client strategy development and ensure consistent messaging and positioning.

  • Contribute to the development of advisory frameworks, tools, and methodologies for the benefit of the global team.

  • Support proposal development and client presentations where advisory input is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages client engagements and reviews, account management, complex deals, and/or emerging solution opportunities with clients to grow market share through deal support

  • Serves as a bank representative presenting at key industry events, leading consultative discussions at multiple levels of the organization, and providing product line expertise

  • Assists banking line partners in understanding treasury management, product risk, and ensuring applicable policies are applied through the sales cycle

  • Manages the strategy and tactical execution of segment initiatives across all major Lines of Business, driving collaboration between product, sales, and client relationship teams

  • Identifies and develops responses to emerging product trends, competitive strategies, and market gaps

  • Develops and implements programs and policies in partnership with market leadership to drive Global Treasury solutions and local market strategies

  • Acts as the product or industry expert in client call planning and strategic client reviews, identifying opportunities and influencing solutions

Required Qualifications:

  • 7–10 years of experience in corporate treasury, finance, and/or treasury advisory consulting, ideally within a multinational environment.

  • Demonstrated experience advising clients or senior stakeholders on treasury strategy and operations.

  • Strong understanding of corporate treasury principles, operating models, and processes.

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex issues into actionable insights.

  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

  • Strong presentation and thought leadership capabilities.

  • Willingness to travel approximately 30% to support client engagements and industry participation.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Technical Expertise (Preferred)

  • Familiarity with treasury technology landscapes, including ERP and Treasury Management Systems (TMS)

  • Understanding of treasury-related regulatory environments and market practices.

  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CTP, CPA, CGMA) are advantageous.

Pay and benefits information

Pay range$146,500.00 - $234,000.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
