About the Role

The Tube Fabrication Technician is responsible for executing CNC tube bending and tube fabrication work.  You will work alongside leadership and engineering to turn raw stainless steel and Inconel metal into precision tube parts for various fluid systems on the Terran R rocket and Aeon R rocket engine.

This is a 1st shift position with a standard schedule of 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM PT, Monday through Friday. Please note that this position is structured around a baseline expectation of a 50-hour workweek, which may include occasional overtime as needed to meet operational goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Use precision cutting and measurement equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, borescopes, severing machines, and electrochemical cutting machines
  • Debur and prepare metals for CNC fabrication
  • Setup, programming, and operation of CNC bending machines
  • Operate optical profile measurement equipment
  • Operate end forming equipment such as flaring machines
  • Document materials, processes, and verifications at every step of the fabrication process
  • Escalate production blockers to leadership for timely resolution
  • Work alongside engineering to resolve technical hardware non-conformances and to implement corrective actions
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and work alongside leadership and engineering to implement them

Must Haves:

  • Experience working with metals such as stainless steel
  • Experience operating precision measurement, cutting, and deburring tools
  • Proficient in computers and experience with CAD files such as STEP
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong documentation ethic and organization skills

Nice to Haves:

  • Proficiency in precision CNC tube fabrication
  • Experience operating in a fast-paced aerospace production environment

$28.80$39.60 USD
