Position Summary
As an Upstream Strategic Marketing Associate Manager you will be a key contributor to the development of product and portfolio strategy for Solventum’s Advanced Wound Care franchise. This role leverages market intelligence, competitive analysis, and customer insights to inform decision-making and support the identification of new growth opportunities. Working cross-functionally with partners such as Strategy & Business Development, this role will enable effective portfolio management, investment prioritization, and build vs. buy decisions with robust, data-driven insights. Responsibilities will include the following:
Market and Competitive Intelligence
- Track macro trends in healthcare and MedTech sector that could impact portfolio priorities
- Develop and maintain competitive intelligence frameworks and dashboards to assist with product positioning, identification of portfolio gaps, and opportunities for innovation and M&A
- Support market selection, prioritization, and assessment efforts led by Strategy & Business Development
- Provide regular market and competitive updates to leadership and marketing teams
Strategy Support
- Develop frameworks and dashboards to support portfolio prioritization and optimization efforts
- Develop fact-based analyses and supporting materials for strategic planning discussions and business reviews
- Lead small- to medium- strategic projects from design to execution
- Support initial evaluation of potential acquisition or partnership targets, including development target overview and summary documents
- Deliver insights in a clear, structured way for inclusion into executive-level presentations
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Economics, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field
- 3–5 years of relevant business experience (e.g., business analysis, market research, corporate strategy, or consulting)
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, Economics, or related field)
- Experience in healthcare, medical devices, or other regulated industries
- Exposure to strategy development, M&A diligence, or portfolio management
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with the ability to synthesize large datasets into actionable insights
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally to deliver strategic, actionable recommendations
- Proficiency in project management and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distill complexity into clear recommendations

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $160,284 - $195,903, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
