USG Intel Community Sales Manager

This position will support the USG Sales team in shaping and capturing U.S. government business opportunities. The ideal candidate for this role has experience supporting space system development and sales, specifically within the Intelligence and National Security Space communities. This position will include personal interaction with Government program managers, senior decision-makers, industry partners, and stakeholder associations. The position involves regular exchanges with Astranis senior management, program management, engineering, operations, and legal teams. This position will report to the Senior Director of USG Sales and Solutions Engineering.

Role
  • Support the building of relationships and interacting with Astranis customers and partners within the Intelligence and National Security Space communities
  • Develop materials in support of customer interactions, including talking papers, briefings, and materials to align Astranis capabilities with USG national space strategy
  • Lead and support proposal activities, serving as capture manager, proposal manager, or volume lead for USG responses and RFIs
  • Improve awareness of Astranis solutions by identifying key decision-makers across Intelligence and National Security Space organizations
  • Track USG programs of interest, including budgets, Congressional actions, industry participation, and technical requirements
  • Assess competitor capabilities and offerings to understand Astranis’s competitiveness across USG and commercial markets
  • Identify industry partnerships to expand systems capabilities, product offerings, and access to key USG pursuits
  • Represent Astranis at related trade associations, coalitions, and industry conferences
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and legal teams to ensure proposals and product offerings are technically and contractually sound
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.S. or B.A.) in engineering or a hard science
  • 5+ years of experience in engineering, program management, corporate strategy, or USG sales/business development
  • Working knowledge of the USG Intelligence Community and space organizations
  • Strong communication skills, with excellence in both written and oral presentation for senior stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time as needed to support customer engagement
  • U.S. Citizen; eligible to obtain a TS/SCI Security Clearance
  • Security Recency: Less than 5 years since previously active TS/SCI Security Clearance
  • Willing to submit to a Counterintelligence Polygraph
Bonus
  • Advanced Degree: M.S. in engineering or an MBA
  • 7+ years of experience in aerospace engineering, program management, or USG business development
  • Technical Depth: Working knowledge of satellites, national security space systems, architectures, and missions
  • Capture Expertise: Proven experience in USG capture/proposal management and USG acquisition processes
  • Location: Based in the National Capital Region (NCR) or San Francisco

Base pay is just one component of Astranis’s total rewards package. Astranis pay ranges are informed and defined through professional-grade salary surveys and compensation data sources. The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, and the level and scope of the position.
Base Salary
$115,000$185,000 USD
