  Position Summary

Antora Energy is hiring a Vice President of Accounting to lead technical accounting, accounting operations, and US GAAP financial reporting across Antora and its growing portfolio of manufacturing entities and project companies. You will own the company's accounting positions from initial research through audit sign-off, serve as the primary partner to external auditors, and ensure a fast, disciplined multi-entity monthly close that supports reporting to corporate and project-level investors.

You will build on a strong accounting foundation by thoughtfully bringing AI into recurring work, reviews, and reporting. You will develop automated processes to reduce manual effort and enhance the scalability of accounting operations, while setting the standards that keep reporting reliable, auditable, and compliant.  To do this well at Antora, you must be curious, open-minded, and hands-on.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Technical accounting: Serve as the company's subject matter expert on technical accounting across Antora and its project companies, owning accounting positions end to end, from research and memo through audit sign-off.
  • Financial reporting: Own the preparation of US GAAP financial statements and footnote disclosures for Antora and each project company.
  • Audit management: Act as the primary relationship owner with external auditors across corporate and project entities, managing audit timelines, deliverables, and outcomes.
  • Close and investor reporting: Support a fast, disciplined multi-entity monthly close that feeds recurring financial reporting to corporate and project-level investors.
  • AI integration: Identify, pilot, and embed AI tools and workflows in the accounting function, supporting monthly processes as well as audit and reporting reviews.
  • Cross-functional partnership: Work with manufacturing, supply chain, and operations teams to improve upstream data collection and component tracking, from purchase order through receipt, manufacturing, and sale.
  • Team leadership: Lead, mentor, and scale the accounting team, fostering a culture of ownership, rigor, and continuous improvement.
 Key Qualifications
  • CPA required; Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of progressive accounting experience, including tenure at a leading accounting firm.
  • Hands-on experience in an operating accounting role, with deep command of US GAAP and technical accounting research.
  • Experience with multi-entity project accounting, including consolidations, intercompany activity, and project-level financial reporting.
  • Proven track record managing external audits and producing audited US GAAP financial statements.
  • Prior leadership experience building and developing high-performing accounting teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex accounting conclusions for executives, investors, and non-accounting stakeholders.
 Additional Qualifications Desired
  • Operating experience at a hardware manufacturing or energy company.
  • Experience with inventory and cost accounting in a manufacturing environment, including tracking components from purchase order through receipt, production, and sale.
  • Familiarity with project finance and investor reporting for project-level entities.

  • Experience working in a high-growth or early-stage company, scaling processes and systems as the business grows.
