Job Description

As the Vice President of Demand Marketing, you will be a key member of the SmartRecruiters Executive Leadership Team (ELT), with primary responsibility for building and scaling a high-performing global demand generation engine that drives measurable pipeline and revenue outcomes for both net new and existing customers. Reporting to the CMO, you will lead the global Demand Marketing function, encompassing Field Marketing, Digital Marketing, and targeted account-based go-to-market strategies. You will be responsible for aligning all demand-side execution with the overall Go-to-Market strategy to support our ambitious growth goals.

What You’ll Deliver / Key Responsibilities

  • Executive Vision and Strategy: Define the global Demand Marketing vision and strategy, directly contributing to the company’s ambitious pipeline and revenue targets, and building a scalable, predictable model for both short-term wins and long-term growth.

  • Accountability for Global Pipeline: Own both the quantitative pipeline generation model (tops-down) and the global demand creation and capture process (bottom-up), ensuring a comprehensive, predictable multi-channel strategy, with predictable forecasting rigor against total pipeline targets.

  • Global Demand Engine Ownership: Own the global demand creation and capture process, leading the design and execution of a comprehensive, multi-channel strategy.

  • GTM & Pipeline Excellence: Direct the strategy and execution necessary to achieve new business and existing customer pipeline and revenue goals, including preparing the demand engine for a shift to a targeted account-based approach.

  • Digital Marketing Leadership: Direct all aspects of Digital Marketing, including web strategy, SEO optimization, and managing external agencies and programs for paid media (for example) to maximize Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) and Marketing ROI (MROI).

  • Executive Cross-Functional Alignment: Act as the primary Demand Marketing representative on the ELT, closely partnering with Product Marketing, Sales, SDRs, and RevOps leadership to ensure a seamless GTM engine and establish clarity on roles, responsibilities, and closed-loop reporting for attribution.

  • High-Performing Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a distributed, high-performing Demand Marketing organization, fostering a culture of data-driven optimization, innovation, and excellence.

Qualifications

  • Deep, executive-level experience in demand generation within a B2B SaaS environment, with a proven track record of building and scaling global, data-driven demand engines that deliver pipeline and revenue growth.

  • Expertise across all key channels of the demand creation and capture funnel, including Field/Regional Marketing, Digital Marketing (SEO, SEM, Paid Media), and integrated global campaign strategy.

  • Proven ability to operate at the ELT level, driving cross-functional projects and communicating complex GTM and performance strategies to executive stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of team KPIs and OKRs, and experience implementing multi-touch attribution models.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to engage and influence executive stakeholders.

  • A track record of building and leading high-performing, diverse marketing teams.
