Vice President, ETF Servicing Specialist

About this role

What team will you be on?

You will join BlackRock’s ETF Servicing team, which supports and manages BlackRock’s global ETF franchise through the ETF Solutions Platform. The team owns critical operational workflows across the ETF lifecycle and plays an important role in ensuring the timely, accurate, and controlled execution of ETF servicing activities. Working closely with Portfolio Management, Capital Markets, Product Development, Technology, and Operations teams, ETF Servicing helps deliver an exceptional experience to Authorized Participants and supports the continued growth of BlackRock’s ETF business. The team is also at the center of new product launches, platform enhancements, and strategic transformation initiatives that enhance scalability, operational resilience, and client outcomes.

Why is your role important?

As a Vice President within ETF Servicing, you will help drive the operational excellence of one of the industry's leading ETF platforms. You will contribute to the execution and oversight of key ETF servicing activities while partnering with a broad range of stakeholders to support business growth, product innovation, risk management, and operational transformation. This role offers the opportunity to influence strategic initiatives, strengthen controls, and help shape the future operating model supporting BlackRock's global ETF franchise.

What will you be doing?

The scope of this role also includes the following responsibilities: 

• Support core ETF Servicing activities across the ETF lifecycle, partnering closely with colleagues in Portfolio Management, Capital Markets, Technology, Product Development, and Operations while helping to deliver a high-quality experience for Authorized Participants and the broader ETF ecosystem. 

• Apply a strong risk management mindset to day-to-day activities, helping to identify, escalate, and manage operational risk across the operating model. 

• Contribute to the continued development of ETF Servicing capabilities in the region, supporting product and stakeholder needs through clear processes, strong execution, and effective cross-functional collaboration. 

• Support the enhancement of governance processes and performance metrics to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of the ETF Servicing function and identify opportunities to streamline, scale, and improve operations. 

• Lead or support strategic initiatives to enhance the scalability, resiliency, and operational effectiveness of ETF Servicing processes, ensuring alignment with business growth objectives and evolving market requirements. 

What are we looking for? 

• Demonstrated experience and expertise in the ETF industry. 

• Relevant experience across ETF operations, client service, fund accounting, custody, banking, and project delivery within dynamic, deadline-driven environments. 

• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships, navigate complex organizations, and influence outcomes across global, regional, and local teams. 

• Strong communication and execution skills, with the ability to synthesize complex topics for senior stakeholders and contribute practical solutions that support commercial objectives. 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience contributing to process improvement, operating model transformation, and technology-enabled change initiatives. 

• Japanese and English business proficiency required.

Our hybrid work model
