The Global Partnerships team is responsible for cultivating and managing Mastercard's most strategic relationships with key players across the payments ecosystem. The team works with global leaders in technology, e-commerce, and financial services to build and scale solutions across acceptance, issuing and co-brand partnerships, and payments data services. Through a consultative approach-and inspired by Mastercard's longstanding focus on inclusive growth-we are passionate about working hand in hand with mission-aligned companies to solve real-world problems for people and businesses around the world.
We seek a self-motivated, structured problem solver with a strategic mindset and the ability to establish strong relationships both internally and externally. This is a high-impact, customer-facing role at the intersection of product innovation, commercial strategy, and partnership execution.
Role
In this role, you will:• Lead end-to-end relationships with one or more of Mastercard's most strategic global partners, serving as a trusted advisor and primary point of accountability.• Structure, negotiate, and manage complex payments partnerships spanning acceptance, co-brand and issuing, and payments data and services, ensuring commercial, strategic, and operational alignment.• Drive Mastercard's global go-to-market strategy with partners across the full portfolio of products and services.• Identify, evaluate, and prioritize new partnership opportunities, assessing both strategic fit and economic impact.• Co-innovate with partners to develop new product propositions in close collaboration with Mastercard product, engineering, and innovation teams.• Represent partner and market perspectives internally, including with senior executives, influencing roadmap priorities and investment decisions.• Lead all aspects of customer proposals and deal development, including business case development, commercial structuring, negotiations, and contracting, in close collaboration with finance, legal, product, engineering, and regional teams.• Enable disciplined execution post-deal, ensuring partnerships scale effectively and deliver against strategic and financial objectives.
All About You• You're entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.• You're a relationship builder who creates trust and credibility with senior stakeholders, both internally and externally.• You bring demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional deal processes end to end.• You exhibit strong strategic and conceptual thinking, paired with sound business judgment and financial acumen.• You're deeply curious about how products, platforms, and solutions work, and how they create value at scale.• You have exceptional executive communication skills, including the ability to influence without direct authority.• You're a data-driven problem solver with strong project management and organizational discipline.• You have broad familiarity with the global payments landscape and adjacent industries, including trends in agentic commerce, stablecoins, Open Banking, digital payments, and platform-based business models.• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree a plus.

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Mastercard benefits for full time (and certain part time) employees generally include: insurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance); flexible spending account and health savings account; paid leaves (including 16 weeks of new parent leave and up to 20 days of bereavement leave); 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time, 25 days of vacation time and 5 personal days, pro-rated based on date of hire; 10 annual paid U.S. observed holidays; 401k with a best-in-class company match; deferred compensation for eligible roles; fitness reimbursement or on-site fitness facilities; eligibility for tuition reimbursement; and many more. Mastercard benefits for interns generally include: 56 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time; jury duty leave; and on-site fitness facilities in some locations.

New York City, New York: $245,000 - $391,000 USD
