Job Duties: Research industries, companies and create detailed financial models to highlight relevant metrics to be used in the investment decision making process. Produce quality analysis of company and diligence information to support investment conclusions. Develop accurate, flexible financial models / scenario analysis. Prepare concise, accurate, and complete investment memoranda. Actively monitor portfolio existing portfolio names.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Engineering, Accounting, or a related field; and 6 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Requires 2 years of experience involving each of the following: 1. Leading underwriting and structuring of multiple transactions across middle-market and growth-stage companies across debt and structured equity (Warrant and PIK notes).

2. Leading diligence, documentation, 3rd part meetings and IC memo output and presentation.

3. Deal experience across multiple industry verticals including software and technology across late-stage growth investments and traditional lending investments. 4. Sourcing and analyzing structured equity investment opportunities.

5. Private Credit Investing: credit analysis and LBO modeling.

6. Using Excel and PowerPoint for Financial Modeling and fluency in legal credit contracts.

For San Francisco, CA Only the salary range for this position is USD$200,000.00 - USD$245,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
