Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers.  The company’s R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding professionals in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Vice President, Legal, reporting to the General Counsel, to join our RevMed team.

This role will oversee corporate governance, securities law compliance and global contracting. The VP, Legal will also provide strategic legal guidance related to the company’s planned commercialization activities, including related to market access, patient access programs, distribution and licensing, and regulatory submissions.

A successful candidate will bring proven experience working at a publicly traded life sciences organization, with demonstrated success in driving legal cross-functional strategy.

  • Serve a general legal advisor to the General Counsel and other members of the executive team on a wide range of corporate, regulatory, and strategic issues with broad enterprise impact.

  • Oversee public securities reporting processes and ensure compliance with SEC and Nasdaq regulations.

  • Manage corporate governance matters, including board and committee operations, charters, minutes, and policies.

  • Provide strategic legal advice related to market access, pricing, reimbursement, and distribution and oversee complex commercial contracts.

  • Advise on issues regarding clinical trials, including related to data management, site activation and maintenance, contracting and ICFs.

  • Oversee global contracting, assisting with determining policy and processes and advising as needed on complex transactions.

  • Provide legal support on strategic transactions, including capital markets transactions.

  • Partner with HR organization on employment-related legal matters.

  • Build and manage teams in a dynamic high-growth environment.

Required Skills, Experience and Education:

  • JD degree with 15+ years of legal experience, including leadership experience at a commercial stage biotech or pharmaceutical company.

  • Demonstrated experience shaping legal strategy across multiple substantive areas.

  • Experience supporting product launches and expansions.

  • Experience growing and shaping legal teams.

  • Collaborative, flexible, positive and pragmatic work style with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills that inspire trust and alignment across functions.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and operate with high ethical standards and professionalism.

  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team setting and a desire to be innovative in rapidly evolving and fast-paced corporate environment.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $340,000 to $390,000 for candidates working onsite at our headquarters in Redwood City, California. The range displayed on each job posting is intended to be the salary for an individual working onsite in Redwood City and will be adjusted for the local market in which a candidate is based. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, market dynamics, and relevant education or training.

Please note that base salary is one part of the overall total rewards program at RevMed, which includes competitive cash compensation, robust equity awards, strong benefits, and significant learning and development opportunities.
