Our client is leading the launch of a power project startup headquartered in Dallas. This venture focuses on the integration of smart grid technology, renewable energy facilities, and power production infrastructure to support the growing demand for clean, efficient, and intelligent energy systems.

The project spans across multi-functional zones including office areas, residential accommodations, and leisure facilities — designed to foster innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence.

They are seeking for a dynamic and results-driven Vice President of Operations (VP of Operations) to join their leadership team. This individual will play a critical role in building and managing the operational framework, leading cross-functional teams, and ensuring seamless execution across all project phases — from site development and infrastructure deployment to ongoing energy production and team management.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the operational strategy to support the startup’s growth and long-term vision
  • Oversee the planning, development, and execution of infrastructure including smart grids, renewable energy plants, and facility modules
  • Build and lead high-performing operations, engineering, and logistics teams
  • Establish and manage KPIs to track project progress, efficiency, and overall performance
  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory and environmental standards
  • Collaborate closely with the executive team on budgeting, forecasting, risk assessment, and resource allocation
  • Create and enforce SOPs to optimize workflows and interdepartmental coordination
  • Lead vendor, supplier, and contractor negotiations and relationships
  • Foster a performance-driven, safety-first culture across all project modules

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations Management, Energy Systems, or a related field (master’s preferred)
  • Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in energy, utilities, infrastructure, or large-scale operational projects
  • Proven experience in launching or scaling complex, multi-module infrastructure projects
  • Strong understanding of smart grid technology, renewable energy systems, and facility operations
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build and scale teams from the ground up
  • Familiarity with U.S. energy regulations, safety standards, and environmental compliance
