Partner with the best

In this role, you'll help define and execute our cloud market strategy. Partnering across engineering, GTM, and executive teams to build competitive cloud products and leading cross-functional teams. You'll bring deep infrastructure and cloud platform expertise to help engage credibly in customer discussions and technical architecture reviews.

As a Vice President Product Management Cloud, you will be responsible for:

  • Owning product vision and multi-year strategy for our infrastructure as a service (Iaas) portfolio, aligning to our broader cloud growth objectives.
  • Building and leading a high-performing team of product leaders, driving accountability, execution discipline, and a culture of customer obsession.
  • Leading cross-functional execution across product, engineering, and SRE, ensuring alignment and delivery against roadmap priorities.
  • Partnering with engineering, design, sales, and marketing to bring products from concept to launch and scale adoption.
  • Leveraging deep market, customer, and industry insights to identify differentiation opportunities and shape product positioning.
  • Owning business outcomes across your portfolio, including revenue growth, adoption, and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborating with go-to-market leadership on pricing, packaging, and segment strategy, and representing Akamai externally with customers, partners, and analysts.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Possess 15 years of product management experience in cloud, compute, or infrastructure domains; bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Have a successful track record of building and scaling product management organizations, including hiring, mentoring, and establishing effective operating rhythms.
  • Have experience defining and executing product strategy at a senior level, including vision setting, stakeholder alignment, and cross-functional execution.
  • Possess deep fluency in cloud computing concepts, including compute, virtualization, containerization, storage, networking, and managed services.
  • Have experience launching and scaling products successfully, with the ability to articulate outcomes, lessons learned, and areas for improvement.
  • Align stakeholders through clear communication, collaboration, and influential leadership.
  • Be able to lead through influence across engineering, SRE, and operations, aligning stakeholders around a shared product vision.
  • Navigate across developer and enterprise audiences, understanding distinct needs and buying motions.
  • Have executive presence and excellent communication skills, representing the company effectively with customers, partners, and analysts.

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary for this position ranges from $228,600 - $411,400/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP). Akamai provides industry-leading benefits including healthcare, 401K savings plan, company holidays, vacation (in the form of PTO), sick time, family friendly benefits including parental leave and an employee assistance program including a focus on mental and financial wellness; Eligibility requirements apply.
