  • Guide teams in translating complex B2B technology concepts into clear, compelling, and business-relevant stories for audiences ranging from C-suite executives and boards of directors to developers and technical buyers.
  • Own senior client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and escalation point while ensuring client satisfaction, retention, and expansion.
  • Identify and drive organic growth opportunities across existing accounts, including expanded thought leadership, research-driven storytelling, and executive visibility programs.

  • Maintain and deepen relationships with top-tier B2B technology, enterprise, trade, business, and policy media, as well as analysts and key industry influencers.
  • Oversee thought leadership programs grounded in market intelligence, proprietary data, product innovation, and timely industry insights that cut through AI-generated noise and position clients as authoritative voices.
  • Guide executive visibility strategies, including media training, keynote placements, bylined content, and conference speaking opportunities for C-suite executives, founders, and technical leaders.
  • Support integrated amplification strategies across earned, owned, and social channels to extend the reach of product launches, research, and executive commentary, connecting with decision-makers across the buying cycle.

  • Support team growth through recruitment, coaching, performance management, and professional development.
  • Play a key role in new business development, contributing to pitch strategy, proposal development, and client presentations.
  • Partner with agency leadership and peers to support Highwire’s B2B Technology Industry Sector Team go-to-market efforts and service evolution, including collaboration across cybersecurity, health, financial services, and energy practices.
  • Contribute to agency marketing initiatives, including award submissions, case studies, and promotion of proprietary B2B technology research and market intelligence.
  • Champion Highwire’s culture of inclusion, empowerment, collaboration, and continuous improvement, and uphold the firm’s commitment to DIBs (Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging).

Success Factors

  • 10+ years of PR or strategic communications experience, with significant agency leadership experience (required).
  • Deep expertise leading communications for B2B technology companies, including enterprise software, AI, cloud, SaaS, data and analytics, developer platforms, or compliance technology.
  • Proven success owning and scaling integrated, multi-channel communications programs for complex, high-growth B2B technology clients navigating long buying cycles and diverse buying committees.
  • Strong command of the B2B technology media landscape, analyst community (e.g., Gartner, Forrester, IDC), and key industry influencers.
  • Demonstrated ability to craft data-informed, creativity-driven narratives that rise above market noise and connect with decision-makers from the boardroom to the developer community.
  • Exceptional strategic writing, editing, and storytelling capabilities, with fluency in translating technical complexity into business impact.
  • Demonstrated experience providing executive-level client counsel and managing senior stakeholder relationships, including C-suite and board-level engagement.
  • Track record of building, mentoring, and retaining high-performing teams.
