About the Opportunity

Harry & David is seeking a strategic, growth-oriented Vice President of Sales to lead our commercial expansion across the wholesale, grocery, and mass channels. This executive leadership role will be responsible for accelerating revenue growth, deepening customer partnerships, expanding distribution, and building a winning go-to-market strategy for the Harry & David food brand.

This role is ideal for a proven commercial leader with deep consumer packaged goods experience and a strong record of success selling premium food, snack, giftable, or specialty products into national and regional retail channels. The ideal candidate understands how to grow a brand with strong consumer recognition, translate brand equity into retail success, and build compelling partnerships with customers across grocery, mass, and wholesale environments.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead the sales strategy for the Harry & David food brand across wholesale, grocery, and mass retail channels
  • Drive profitable revenue growth through new business development, distribution gains, assortment expansion, and stronger account penetration
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key retail customers, distributors, brokers, and strategic channel partners
  • Develop annual sales plans, customer strategies, forecasts, pricing plans, and promotional calendars aligned to financial and brand goals
  • Identify opportunities to expand the Harry & David brand into new customers, categories, and retail formats while preserving brand positioning and product integrity
  • Lead joint business planning and high-level negotiations with key accounts to drive long-term growth and mutual value
  • Partner with marketing and product teams to ensure the Harry & David brand is positioned effectively in-store and online within wholesale and retail environments
  • Translate consumer, retailer, and category insights into actionable growth strategies across core and seasonal businesses
  • Manage trade investment, pricing strategy, promotional effectiveness, and customer profitability with strong financial discipline
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales organization focused on accountability, execution, and customer excellence
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, finance, marketing, and merchandising teams to ensure flawless execution and support long-term growth
  • Serve as a senior commercial leader helping shape the next phase of growth for Harry & David in the broader retail and CPG landscape
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Finance, Economics, or related field required; MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience within consumer-packaged goods, food and beverage, gourmet food, snack, or related categories
  • Strong experience selling into grocery, mass, wholesale, club, or other retail-driven channels
  • Minimum of 5 years of senior leadership experience managing teams, major accounts, and revenue responsibility
  • Proven track record of driving profitable growth, increasing market share, and expanding distribution in a branded CPG environment
  • Deep understanding of customer strategy, trade planning, pricing, promotional management, and retailer economics
  • Experience leading relationships with national and regional retail accounts, brokers, and distributor partners
  • Strong commercial instincts with the ability to balance brand positioning, customer needs, and financial objectives
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to turn data and insights into results
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and lead through growth and change

The expected salary range for this position is $225,000 - $245,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, internal equity, and other factors permitted by law.
