ABOUT THE ROLE
We're hiring our first Vice President of Sales. The team has grown beyond what the CEO can directly manage, and we need a leader to step in, build structure, and scale what's working.
You'll directly manage the account executives, a mix of seasoned closers and newly promoted reps. AEs focus on demoing and closing inbound and BDR-sourced opportunities; they don't self-source. Deals run a 30–90 day cycle with $100K–$200K ACVs, and the team operates on a monthly quota.
This is a builder's seat. You'll inherit a working motion and be expected to professionalize it: tighter forecasting, MEDDICC discipline across every deal, repeatable seller onboarding, and the operating cadence that gets a fast-growing team to predictable monthly attainment.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Manage and develop 7-10 AEs with focused attention on ramping newly promoted reps to full productivity
- Own monthly quota attainment and pipeline coverage
- Continue to optimize and document the sales process from discovery through close
- Run weekly 1:1s, pipeline reviews, and listening sessions
- Operationalize MEDDICC/MEDDPICC across the team and inspect deals rigorously
- Partner with revenue operations, BDR leadership and client services on lead quality, messaging, and handoffs
- Build new hire onboarding and ongoing enablement
- Forecast accurately and report directly to the CEO
- Have a ready network of seasoned sales talent ready to join the team.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 10+ years of front-line sales management experience, ideally at a fast-growing company- bias towards action is key here
- Mid-market and enterprise sales background with a track record of success in full quota carrying and management capacity
- MEDDICC or MEDDPICC trained, with experience rolling it out across a team
- Experience managing both veteran AEs and earlier-career AEs
- A track record of taking a sales motion from "working" to "repeatable" — process design, playbooks, onboarding
- Comfort with sub-90-day sales cycles and a high-velocity monthly cadence
- An AI forward mindset
- Salesforce, Monday.com, Attention, Claude, Chat GPT
NICE TO HAVE
- Agency, PR, or professional services sales experience
- Experience selling to marketing and communications leaders
- Background scaling a sales team through an inflection point
BENEFITS
- $250K–$450K OTE with a 50/50 base/variable split
- Fully remote, US-based, any time zone
- We offer a competitive benefits package—including comprehensive medical/dental/vision coverage, vacation/sick leave/holiday PTO, 401(k), Flex Fridays, flexible remote work options, and Summer Fridays.
Interdependence is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome candidates from all backgrounds and do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic.
