This is a remote position.

Position Summary  

The Video Editor & Content Repurposing Specialist will be responsible for editing educational videos, creating short-form content, adding captions and branding, and preparing video assets for multiple marketing channels.

This role will work closely with the Content Manager to convert one video recording into multiple content assets.


Primary Responsibilities  

Long-Form Video Editing  

Edit recorded Zoom interviews and educational sessions into professional YouTube videos.

Responsibilities include:

  • Removing pauses and filler content

  • Improving flow and pacing

  • Enhancing audio quality

  • Adding branded intros and outros

  • Adding lower-thirds and titles

  • Adding chapter markers

  • Adding call-to-action screens

  • Exporting final YouTube-ready videos

Target Output:

  • 4–6 long-form videos per month


Short-Form Video Creation  

Create engaging short clips from long-form videos.

Platforms:

  • YouTube Shorts

  • LinkedIn

  • Facebook Reels

  • Instagram Reels

Responsibilities:

  • Identify key moments

  • Create attention-grabbing hooks

  • Add captions

  • Add branding

  • Optimize vertical format

Target Output:

  • 15–25 short-form videos per month


Captioning & Accessibility  

Responsibilities:

  • Add accurate captions

  • Review AI-generated captions

  • Ensure readability

  • Maintain professional presentation


Brand Consistency  

Maintain BFG branding standards:

  • Logo placement

  • Intro/outro templates

  • Typography consistency

  • Visual quality standards


Content Asset Management  

Organize and manage:

  • Raw recordings

  • Edited videos

  • Short clips

  • Project files

  • Thumbnail assets

Maintain organized folder structures in Google Drive.


Collaboration  

Work closely with:

Content Manager  

  • Receive editing instructions

  • Review content priorities

  • Manage publishing schedule

SEO Team  

  • Support YouTube SEO requirements

  • Add chapter timestamps

  • Support metadata preparation

Marketing Team  

  • Deliver platform-specific formats

  • Meet publishing deadlines


Required Skills  

Video Editing Software  

Must be proficient in one or more:

  • Adobe Premiere Pro

  • Final Cut Pro

  • DaVinci Resolve

  • CapCut Professional


Video Editing Skills  

  • Storytelling through editing

  • Short-form content creation

  • Audio cleanup

  • Motion graphics (basic)

  • Caption creation

  • Multi-platform optimization


Technical Skills  

  • Video compression

  • Export settings

  • File management

  • Social media formatting

  • Thumbnail preparation
