With our triple-threat experts in digital publishing, adtech, and performance, we’re uniquely positioned in today’s marketplace.

The Opportunity

First Media is seeking an experienced Performance Marketing Producer / Editor who can bring creative ideas to life from concept through finished video, and occasionally appear on camera as well. You'll develop concepts, write scripts, produce, and edit compelling short-form ads across multiple brands and products, working both independently and collaboratively depending on project needs. You can look at a product, a messaging brief, or existing footage and see the potential for an engaging ad, then bring that vision to life, learn from its performance, and make the next version even better.

What You’ll Do

Concept and Script

  • Turn footage, products, and messaging into ad concepts, scripts, and finished content
  • Ideate and script video concepts in a clear voice that tells a specific story about a product to a specific audience
  • Write hooks, headlines, on-screen text, and other short-form ad copy that works hand in hand with the visuals
  • Translate what makes content strong and watchable on each platform into ads that perform
  • Work across brands alongside directors, editors, and strategists

Produce and Edit

  • Concept, produce, and edit short-form ads that drive performance, appearing on camera when the idea calls for it
  • Self-produce ads from concept to scripting through shoots, post-production, and delivery
  • Craft ads from existing footage and assets across multiple iterations, with a sharp sense of what makes an effective ad

Optimize and Scale

  • Make data-informed creative decisions that capture attention, improve campaign performance, and drive conversion
  • Use performance data to sharpen hooks, formats, and iterations, scaling what works and cutting what doesn’t
  • Bring a sense of strategy to every brief: what makes good creative, and why an ad wins
  • Innovate and execute new formats and trends that can scale across teams
  • Explore and leverage AI-assisted creative and production tools to streamline workflows, experiment with new approaches, and improve creative output

What We’re Looking For

Experience

  • Experience creating short-form video content for digital advertising, social media, branded content, or related creative productions. Paid social or direct-response experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience developing creative concepts, writing scripts and hooks, producing video content, and editing for digital and social platforms.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, particularly with short-form and vertical video. Working knowledge of Photoshop is a plus.
  • Familiarity with performance metrics such as hook rate, retention, and click-through rate (CTR), and how they can inform creative decisions.
  • Experience with AI-assisted creative, production, or editing tools is a plus.

Skills & Working Style

  • Strong conceptual thinking, copywriting, and visual storytelling skills, with the ability to tailor creative to different products, audiences, and objectives.
  • A strong understanding of social platforms, native content trends, and what captures and sustains audience attention.
  • Ability to take creative projects from concept through execution, working independently or collaboratively depending on project needs.
  • Comfortable with hands-on production, including filming products and capturing compelling footage using an iPhone or other lightweight equipment.
  • Comfortable appearing on camera when the creative concept calls for it.
  • Strong creative judgment, adaptability, and openness to feedback, with the ability to work efficiently across multiple brands and priorities.

Portfolio Required: Please include a link to a portfolio or work samples showcasing short-form video content you've helped concept, script, produce, and/or edit. Paid social, direct-response, or other advertising examples are especially welcome. Please indicate your specific contributions to the work submitted.
