At General Medicine, you'll join a clinical team raising the standard of virtual adult primary care, making high-quality medicine accessible to everyone through telemedicine and intelligent technology. We're looking for experienced Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioners who thrive in fast-paced environments and lead with clinical depth and empathy.

Founded by the team behind PillPack (acquired by Amazon Health), General Medicine is a national, technology-enabled medical group on a mission to make accessing care as seamless as the best consumer experiences. We're an early-stage company that moves fast, builds with intention, and needs clinicians who want to practice meaningful medicine inside a system designed to support them.

As an Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner, you'll practice as part of a broader care model spanning asynchronous and synchronous virtual care, clinical triage and synthesis, lab and imaging coordination, rapid specialist consults, and referrals to in person care when needed.

This isn't high volume, protocol driven telehealth. You'll stay clinically involved from decision to next step rather than handing off after a single interaction. The role is built to fit alongside your existing clinical work, at roughly 12 to 15 hours a week.

Our Philosophy
  • Patient Centered Access: We meet patients where they are, guided by evidence based medicine.

  • Whole Spectrum Adult Care: Urgent, acute, and primary care backed by an internal subspecialist network. No gatekeeping.

  • Technology with Purpose: AI enhanced tools handle intake, documentation, and coordination so clinicians can focus on clinical decisions.

  • Accessible, Not Concierge: We accept insurance (including Medicare/Medicaid) and self pay, with a full operational backbone for referrals, labs, and scheduling.

Responsibilities
  • Virtual Care Delivery: Provide asynchronous text-based and synchronous video-based care for adult patients across the U.S.

  • Broad Clinical Practice: Practice full-scope primary care across a wide range of acuity and complexity.

  • Clinical Triage & Synthesis: Apply strong diagnostic reasoning to guide next steps for patients with unclear or evolving concerns.

  • Diagnostics & Coordination: Order and interpret labs and imaging, and coordinate rapid specialist consults to drive timely, evidence-based care.

  • Patient Navigation: Guide patients to appropriate in-person care when needed (operations handles provider identification, booking, and scheduling).

  • Clinical Ownership: Maintain continuity throughout the decision-making process, coordinating next steps beyond the presenting complaint.

  • Quality Improvement: Contribute to clinical workflow development, policies, and quality improvement as appropriate.

Requirements
  • Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner with a background in Family or Internal Medicine.

  • Minimum of 3 years full-time experience in primary care in an outpatient or ambulatory setting, with depth in adult medicine across preventive, acute, and chronic care.

  • Multistate Licensure: Active, unrestricted NP licensure with coverage representing at least 30% of the U.S. population. (Licensure in high-priority states including California, Texas, Florida, and New York—is strongly preferred.)

  • Must be authorized to work and physically located within the United States; this role is not available to candidates working from outside the U.S.

  • Independent clinical judgment: Comfortable with diagnostic ambiguity, and broad clinical synthesis; able to practice within scope while collaborating with physicians and specialists.

  • Adaptable & tech-savvy: Quick to learn new clinical tools, workflows, and virtual-first care settings (telehealth experience a plus)

  • Availability for approximately 12-15 hours per week.

Compensation

Pay-per-completed-visit model, with potential to grow within the role:

  • Chat visit: $8

  • Video visit: $35

Who Thrives Here
  • You have experience overseeing clinical groups, workflows, or policies, and want flexible, meaningful work alongside an existing clinical career.

  • You're bought into our mission - you believe telemedicine, done right, transforms patient care.

  • You enjoy practicing medicine across varying degrees of acuity and complexity.

  • You value continuity, follow-through, and patient partnership over transactional encounters.

  • You're collaborative, low-ego, and comfortable with adaptive workflows and rapid iteration.

  • You appreciate tools that provide full context and reduce administrative overhead.
