Overview:

The Vice President of Advanced Concepts and Training will serve as the firm’s leading expert on life insurance planning strategies, legislative developments, and advanced sales concepts. This role is ideal for a thought leader with a Juris Doctor (JD) degree who thrives on educating and empowering financial professionals, clients, and strategic partners through technical insight, persuasive communication, and actionable training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, refine, and deliver advanced life insurance planning strategies across business, estate, and personal planning contexts.
  • Create and publish white papers, sales concepts, and presentation materials addressing current legislative and regulatory issues that influence life insurance strategies.
  • Design and lead advisor training programs — both in-person and virtual — to strengthen understanding of advanced life insurance applications and sales concepts.
  • Partner with field leadership, advisors, and other trusted professionals (attorneys, CPAs, planners) to craft client-specific solutions that drive measurable results.
  • Serve as a technical resource and thought leader representing the company in conferences, webinars, and key client meetings.
  • Monitor pending legislation, tax developments, and regulatory trends, interpreting their impact on insurance and estate planning.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to ensure messaging and materials align with advanced planning concepts and legal accuracy.
  • Supporting and Training internal team on concepts and updates in market
  • Supporting and developing life cases with FA’s and sales team.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) required. Advanced credentials (CLU®, ChFC®, CFP®) highly preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in advanced life insurance planning, advanced markets, or similar consultative roles within the financial services industry.
  • Brokerage Industry experience is a plus
  • Proven ability to develop compelling, compliant, and results-driven sales concepts, training platforms, and technical content.
  • Deep understanding of business owner, estate, and personal life insurance planning practices and products.
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills with experience addressing both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated success driving growth and advisor engagement through concept adoption and case support.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%

The base salary range for this position is $101,000 to $200,000.  The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
