Job Summary:

The Vice President of Business Development will lead Nextech’s business development efforts, driving revenue expansion through strategic partnerships, market penetration, and business alliances. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with a deep understanding of the healthcare IT (HCIT) landscape, proven expertise in building relationships, and a track record of achieving ambitious growth targets.

Essential Functions

  • In addition to working in accordance with appropriate conduct and behavioral standards, specific responsibilities of this role include:

     

    Strategic Growth Initiatives

     

    • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with Nextech’s overall vision and goals.
    • Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, trends, and technologies in the HCIT space.
    • Lead the expansion into new markets, including geographic regions and healthcare specialties.
    •  

      Partnership Development

       

      • Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, payers, and industry leaders.
      • Negotiate and finalize strategic partnerships, alliances, and collaborations to enhance Nextech’s market presence.
      • Represent Nextech at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events.
      •  

        Revenue Generation

         

        • Drive top-line growth by securing new business and expanding relationships with existing clients.
        • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop go-to-market strategies and campaigns.
        • Oversee the end-to-end sales cycle for high-value deals, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

          Leadership and Team Development

           

          • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing, and operations teams to align on strategic initiatives.
          •  

            Market Intelligence and Analytics

             

            • Monitor competitive activity, industry trends, and regulatory changes affecting the HCIT industry.
            • Utilize data-driven insights to inform business decisions and improve performance.
            • Report on key metrics, forecasts, and outcomes to the executive leadership team.
            • Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned based on business need

Minimum Requirements

    • 10+ years of experience in business development, sales, or strategy roles, with at least 5 years in the healthcare IT industry.
    • Demonstrated success in developing and executing growth strategies that drive significant revenue gains.
    • Proven track record of forming strategic partnerships and closing high-value deals
    • In-depth knowledge of the HCIT market, including EHR, practice management, and patient engagement solutions.
    • Strong negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills.
    • Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, with a talent for building and maintaining relationships.
    • Leadership skills to inspire, motivate, and manage a diverse team.
    • Proficiency in CRM tools and sales analytics platforms.

Work Environment/Physical Demands

    • Remote in the United States
    • Long-distance or air travel as needed
    • Activities require a significant amount of work in front of a computer monitor.
