Freebird is a high-growth DTC brand redefining shaving for millions of people. We have scaled to 9 figures in revenue, served over 1 million customers, and built a reputation for our award-winning electric shaving kits that actually deliver.

Our mission is to make grooming effortless, enjoyable, and accessible for everyone. We focus on smarter tools, fewer products, and real solutions that simplify daily routines. We move fast, learn every day, and build products and partnerships that truly make a difference.

The Mission

We’re looking for a VP of Growth who will take full ownership of Freebird’s new customer acquisition goals. You will be responsible for delivering the planned volume of new customers each month while maintaining our first-order contribution margin target.

This role builds the operating system that unifies paid media, performance creative, and analytics into a cohesive, predictable, data-backed growth machine. You bring strategic clarity, senior judgment, and the operational discipline needed to scale one of the most important engines of the business.

This is a role for someone who loves the number, thrives in high-velocity environments, and knows how to create order, foresight, and momentum within a fast-moving growth function.

What You'll Do

Hit New Customer Acquisition Targets

• Own weekly, monthly, and quarterly pacing
• Manage dynamic forecasts balancing spend, CAC, and margins
• Keep growth performance within ±5% of plan

Build the Growth Operating System

• Build structured growth plans across channels, markets, and audiences
• Integrate paid media, creative, and analytics into one unified operating rhythm
• Shift the culture from reactive to strategic using forward-looking models, not daily noise

Elevate Paid Media Rigor and Efficiency

• Lead paid media strategy across Meta, Google, YouTube, and emerging channels
• Implement disciplined testing and scaling frameworks designed for velocity and precision
• Maintain high spend velocity while protecting first-order contribution margin targets

Establish Creative Insights and Forecasting

• Build systems that connect real ad-level data to creative strategy
• Lead monthly insights on what’s winning, what’s fatiguing, and what’s next
• Partner with the Director of Performance Creative to align the pipeline 30–90 days ahead
• Ensure every creative output drives measurable business impact

Build Data Confidence and Analytics Maturity

• Build the analytics function with reporting, ownership, and clear cadence
• Standardize definitions for CAC, margins, and forecasting
• Make testing, incrementality, and modeling part of weekly operations
• Partner with Finance to connect insights to real revenue and costs

Provide Experienced, Stable Leadership Through Scale

• Bring calm clarity and senior judgment to a high-speed environment
• Build systems and processes that make growth predictable
• Mentor directors to think like operators, not executors
• Become the single source of truth for growth performance and direction

Requirements
  • 7–10+ years leading growth at a high-velocity DTC brand
  • Proven ownership of $20M+ annual acquisition budgets
  • Deep expertise across Meta, Google, YouTube, and emerging channels
  • Strong analytics fluency: forecasting, incrementality, MMM, attribution
  • Track record hitting customer + margin targets at scale
  • Experience building cross-functional growth operating systems
  • Ability to translate performance insights into clear creative direction
  • Strong financial acumen and partnership with Finance on pacing & CM
  • Leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary growth teams
  • Brings calm, clarity, and senior judgment in high-speed environments

Benefits

• Competitive compensation package
• Health, dental, and vision insurance
• Unlimited PTO with a remote-friendly culture
• High-ownership role with direct impact on company trajectory
• A team that values clarity, accountability, and results
• The opportunity to build the growth engine powering a 9-figure brand’s next chapter
