Overall Purpose

This position leads the enterprise-wide procurement function, setting the vision and strategy for a modern, technology-enabled Procure-to-Pay (P2P) capability. The role is accountable for driving a data-driven, value-creating procurement environment that optimizes total cost of ownership, mitigates enterprise risks, and enables scalable business growth.

Essential Functions

Strategic Leadership and Enterprise Oversight

  • Define and execute the enterprise-wide procurement strategy aligned to business, financial, and technology priorities

  • Establish the vision, operating model, and organizational design for the P2P function

  • Build and lead a high-performing organization, including leadership pipeline, talent strategy, and culture

  • Advise executive leadership on spend, supplier strategy, and market dynamics

  • Define supplier segmentation, governance, and performance

  • Build strategic partnerships that drive innovation and resilience

  • Represent the company with key suppliers and industry partners

  • Oversee end-to-end P2P operations across the enterprise, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and service excellence

Enterprise Operations, Transformation and Continuous Improvement

  • Standardize processes to reduce friction and accelerate outcomes

  • Drive enterprise sourcing, contracting, and supplier negotiations to deliver measurable value

  • Establish enterprise-wide visibility into spend, supplier performance, and operational KPIs

  • Own and lead the enterprise procurement transformation agenda, including digital modernization of P2P—implement automation, AI/ML, and advanced analytics

  • Own the enterprise procurement risk posture, including regulatory compliance, third-party risk, and contractual governance

  • Establish and enforce policies, controls, and audit frameworks to ensure compliance and accountability

  • Partner with support functions—including, but not limited to legal, finance, risk, and security—to mitigate enterprise risk

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education and experience typically obtained through completion of a Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field

  • Typically, a minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in procurement or related field

  • Extensive experience leading enterprise P2P capability, including exposure to international

  • Deep expertise across procurement disciplines, including sourcing, supplier management, contracting, pipeline organization & management, and P2P operations

  • Demonstrated ability to influence executive stakeholders and drive cross-functional alignment through rigorous, structured deal desk/review

  • Strong financial acumen, including spend management, value creation, and ROI delivery

  • Exceptional leadership capabilities with experience building and scaling high-performing organizations

  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to coach and develop others to do the same

  • Background and drug screen

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or MBA degree in business, finance or related field preferred.

  • Experience in technology-driven, payment network or highly regulated industries

  • Expertise in digital procurement platforms, automation, and analytics tools

  • Experience leading large-scale transformation and change management initiatives

  • Strong understanding of regulatory, compliance, and third-party risk frameworks

  • Understanding of relevant legislative and regulatory requirements—domestic and international—and contractual terms and conditions to mitigate enterprise risk.

Physical Requirements

Working conditions consist of a normal office environment. Work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive use of a computer and involves sitting for periods of approximately four hours. Work may require occasional standing, walking, kneeling and reaching. Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently. Requires visual acuity and dexterity to view, prepare, and manipulate documents and office equipment including personal computers. Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers.

Employee must be able to perform essential functions and physical requirements of position with or without reasonable accommodation.

The base pay scale for this position in:
Phoenix, AZ/ Chicago, IL / Washington, DC in USD per year is: $205,000 - $290,000.
New York, NY/ San Francisco, CA in USD per year is: $248,000 - $330,000.
Additionally, candidates are eligible for a discretionary incentive plan and benefits.
