The Vice President (VP) of Sales is a high-level executive role responsible for leading and managing Vital's sales department in North & South America. This role is critical for driving revenue growth and ensuring the organization's sales strategies align with its overall business objectives and technical roadmap. Key Responsibilities:


Sales Strategy Development:

Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for each business unit (Compound Semiconductor, Functional Materials, Thin Film, and Infrared) that aligns with the company's overall goals and objectives.

Analyze market trends for each business unit, competition, and key-customer technology roadmaps to identify opportunities and threats.

Work with HQ and various Vital sites to determine pricing strategies, product positioning, and sales tactics.

Sales Team Management:

Lead, mentor, and motivate the business unit leaders and sales team, providing guidance and support to achieve sales targets.

Set performance metrics and goals for each business unit and regularly assess and improve their performance.

Recruit, train, and onboard sales professionals as needed.

Revenue Growth:

Drive revenue growth by expanding the customer base and increasing sales to existing customers.

Monitor and analyze sales metrics and KPIs to track progress and make data-driven decisions.

Develop and manage sales budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations.

Customer Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners.

Address customer concerns and resolve issues to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

Ensure the sales team provides excellent customer service.

Market Expansion:

Identify and explore new market opportunities and expansion strategies for organic growth

Evaluate potential partnerships, collaborations, and acquisitions that align with the company’s vision.

Sales Reporting and Analysis:

Generate regular reports on sales performance, revenue forecasts, and market trends.

Provide insights and recommendations to the executive team.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:

Ensure that sales activities comply with all relevant regulations and standards.

Maintain a high level of product and service quality to meet customer expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
  • Proven track record of successful sales leadership and achievement of revenue targets.
  • Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Leadership and team-building skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific trends and market dynamics.
