The Tidal Financial Group is a leading ETF investment technology platform dedicated to creating, operating, and growing ETFs. We combine expertise and innovative partnership approaches to offer comprehensive, value-generating ETF solutions.

Our platform offers best-in-class strategic guidance, product planning, trust and fund services, legal support, operations support, marketing and research, and sales and distribution services.

About the role

We're looking for a Project Manager to join our technology team supporting Tidal's core platforms and operational infrastructure - including proprietary applications and tools, internal automations, and the data and analytics work that underpins them. You'll own delivery across multiple projects/initiatives, including how work gets prioritized and resourced. You will collaborate with the project management team on building processes and improving project management and delivery practices across technology. You'll spot gaps and opportunities and work with others to close them, rather than solving in isolation. The ideal candidate has built or restructured PM process before, is comfortable making resourcing and trade-off calls with incomplete information and can move seamlessly between technical depth and executive-level conversations.

What you'll do

Project Ownership & Delivery

  • Own delivery outcomes across multiple technology initiatives, setting scope and sequencing for your teams and projects.
  • Partner with engineering and business leadership to decide what the team takes on, in what order, and with what resourcing.
  • Solve complex, ambiguous delivery problems that cut across teams dependencies, resourcing conflicts, and competing priorities.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Lead and collaborate with your team to build sustainable intake and prioritization practices across engineering, data, and business teams, replacing reactive triage with a repeatable process.
  • Help shape the technology PM practice - tools, templates, and delivery standards - working with TechOps leadership and the Project Management team.
  • Spot systemic gaps in process or vendor relationships, and work with your team to close them before they become delivery risks.

Stakeholder Management & Influence

  • Ensure executive leadership has clear, proactive visibility into progress, risk, and trade-offs across your portfolio.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior and executive stakeholders across the business.
  • Bridge technical and business conversations at a strategic level - shape how engineering constraints and business priorities inform each other, not just translate between them.

Team Enablement

  • Lead the most complex or highest-visibility initiatives directly, as a senior individual contributor on your portfolio. Work with the team to shape the prioritization discipline and delivery standards the team operates within, rather than setting them unilaterally.
  • Mentor and coach other team members informally, giving them the scope and cover to own their own workstreams, without formal management responsibility.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of project management experience, including experience building or maturing a PM function; financial services or a comparable regulated industry experience preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated track record leading cross-functional initiatives with direct accountability for outcomes, not just coordination.
  • Comfort building process and structure from scratch, and making resourcing and prioritization decisions with incomplete information.
  • Experience partnering with senior and executive stakeholders, including direct executive-level reporting.
  • Strong grounding in Agile and Lean principles, with experience adapting them to fit a team's actual needs rather than applying them rigidly.
