We’re looking for a Waste Treatment Engineer who will play a key role in developing and delivering high‑performance waste treatment systems for large‑scale semiconductor facilities. This role is essential to ensuring safety, environmental responsibility, and system reliability. You’ll partner closely with third‑party design firms, internal engineering teams, and construction groups to bring sophisticated treatment systems from concept through operation. This position will begin within our construction engineering team for at least two years, then transition into Operations Engineering to support long‑term facility performance.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate and guide third‑party design firms developing chemical, liquid, and solid waste treatment systems
Review and validate designs including P&IDs, equipment specs, and layouts for compliance with project requirements and environmental regulations
Analyze technical performance of third‑party designs, including treatment efficiency, safety, compatibility, and discharge compliance
Lead cross‑functional collaboration with internal teams, vendors, and contractors to align waste treatment solutions with facility needs
Conduct quality reviews and risk assessments to identify compliance, constructability, and environmental impacts
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, chemical engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
2+ years experience designing wastewater, chemical, or solid waste treatment systems
Strong knowledge of industrial waste treatment processes, hazardous waste handling, and regulatory frameworks including EPA, RCRA, and the Clean Water Act
Experience reviewing engineering designs including P&IDs, 3D models, and technical specifications using AutoCAD, Revit, or Navisworks
Familiarity with BIM tools, safety regulations, and system integration with adjacent facility systems
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience coordinating third‑party designs for semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or other high‑tech facilities
Knowledge of water reuse, zero‑liquid discharge, or advanced waste minimization technologies
Experience with BIM‑based clash detection and multidisciplinary design integration
Experience with PLC or SCADA control systems
Professional Engineer (PE) license or Hazardous Waste Operations Certification
