AECOM Technical Services Inc. is seeking a Water Engineer III, Oakland, CA.

Job details:

• Perform specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
• Gather and correlate basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
• Work on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
• Propose approach to solve new problems encountered. Identify discrepancies in results.
• Provide guidance to entry level engineers.
• Perform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision.
• Professional Engineer (civil) certification or ability to obtain Professional Engineer (civil) certification required.
• May telecommute.

Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.

Position requires:

1. Water and wastewater treatment process design including unit treatment selection and sizing
2. Hydraulic calculations including analysis of conveyance networks and pump station design
3. Water Master Planning for Cities
4. Professional Engineer (civil) certification or ability to obtain Professional Engineer (civil) certification
5. Preparation of construction plans and specifications
6. Preparation of engineering reports documenting water process decisions and unit treatment sizing
7. Hydraulic modeling software including WaterGEMS and Infowater
8. AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and QGIS
