VAST Data is a revolutionary IT infrastructure company with the world’s first Operating System built for AI. By natively unifying and orchestrating storage, database, and compute, VAST has helped organizations around the world unleash the true power of agentic computing and data-intensive applications.

At VAST, you’ll join a fast-moving team that thrives at the intersection of technology and creativity. Our culture prizes autonomy, bold ideas, and high standards of craft. Designers here aren’t just decorators. They’re shapers of experiences that define how people perceive and engage with one of the most consequential companies in AI.

We’re looking for a Web Experience Design Lead to own and evolve the digital face of VAST: from our flagship site to all extensions, this role is for a designer who thinks in systems, sweats the details, and understands how design language and user experience come together to tell a cohesive story across the web.

We’re looking for innovative, talented and hard-working people to join our fast-growing team… join us and discover just how VAST the possibilities are.

Responsibilities:

  • Design end-to-end user experiences for VAST’s family of web properties, from initial concepts and wireframes to high-fidelity prototypes and final production.
  • Develop and maintain scalable design systems that balance creativity with consistency across multiple sites.
  • Create beautiful, functional, and accessible web interfaces, landing pages, campaign microsites, and support/documentation experiences.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing and brand teams to ensure that every touchpoint reflects VAST’s design ethos and storytelling.
  • Partner with content and growth teams to optimize conversion funnels, navigation, and key user journeys.
  • Conduct and apply insights from usability testing, A/B testing, analytics, and research to continually refine design decisions.
  • Push the craft forward: contribute new ideas, tools, and practices to elevate the role of design within VAST.
  • Present work with clarity and passion — championing design thinking and inspiring stakeholders.
  • 7–10 years of experience in web/UI/UX design with a strong portfolio of shipped projects.
  • A craftsperson’s eye for typography, layout, and interaction design, and the ability to bring it all together in Figma, and the ability to adapt to new technologies when necessary
  • Experience designing for complex, multi-site ecosystems with a balance of creativity, functionality, and scalability.
  • Knowledge of design systems, accessibility standards, responsive design, and SEO principles.
  • Comfort collaborating across disciplines:  from brand storytellers to developers, and translating ideas into production-ready design.
  • A growth mindset: you iterate, seek feedback, and push yourself to raise the bar with every project.
  • An inclusive and collaborative spirit — you know how to reconcile diverse inputs and guide teams toward great solutions.
  • A self-directed, critical thinker
  • Works efficiently and finds ways to deliver results in tight turnarounds
  • Appetite for learning and growing
  • Excitement to be part of a team and collaborate to deliver amazing experiences
  • Bonus: familiarity with tools like GA4, or motion/interaction prototyping.
