Boldin is a comprehensive financial planning platform that helps people understand their financial picture, make smarter decisions with their money and time, and plan for the future with confidence.

With over $20M raised and strong momentum, Boldin is entering a pivotal phase of growth. This is an opportunity to join a mission-driven team and help shape the future.

About the Role

We are hiring a Web Operations Engineer to own and operate our next-generation marketing and content infrastructure. This role will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and evolving a composable web stack built on Astro, Builder.io, Sanity, and Cloudflare, with a strong emphasis on site performance, reliability, SEO, and marketing velocity.

This role blends platform strategy, user experience, and technical performance leadership to build the next-generation web experience. You’ll define the roadmap that connects Marketing, Product, and Engineering to deliver a scalable, measurable, and personalized web ecosystem that powers Boldin’s growth.

You’ll guide the evolution of our CMS, site architecture, and performance infrastructure, driving impact across brand storytelling, acquisition, SEO, and experimentation.

You will be the internal expert and project owner for the transition from the current wordpress build to our new marketing stack. You will define how our marketing site is built, deployed, cached, searched, and kept online under all conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Composable Stack Implementation & Operations
  • Implement and maintain the Astro-based marketing site using Islands Architecture.
  • Integrate and manage Builder.io for visual marketing pages and landing pages.
  • Operate Sanity as the structured content layer (blog, legacy content, multi-tenant data).
  • Ensure clean boundaries between content, presentation, and application logic.
  • Support Pagefind for fast, static, cost-efficient site search.
  • Lead the WordPress to builder.IO migration, managing content modelling, redirect planning, and author enablement, while protecting current search rankings and introducing AI-driven tools to support content updates and ingestion.
  • Own Google Tag Manager, including implementation of Server-side containers.
  • Own the implementation of a Consent Management Platform
2. Performance, SEO & Core Web Vitals
  • Own site performance end-to-end, including:
    • Build output optimization
    • Edge caching strategies
    • JavaScript minimization and hydration discipline
  • Monitor and optimize Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, INP).
  • Partner with marketing to ensure SEO best practices are enforced in templates, schemas, and content workflows.
  • Work with the Infrastructure Team to ensure pages ship fast by default—performance regressions should be rare and intentional.
  • Own and report on site health, Core Web Vitals, performance, and site-wide conversion metrics in partnership with Analytics.

3. Reliability, Caching & Static Failover
  • Partner with engineering and infrastructure teams to design, implement, and maintain Cloudflare edge caching rules.
  • Support the implementation and testing of static failover (“life raft”) strategies to help ensure business continuity during CMS, CDN, or third-party outages.
  • Contribute to ensuring the core marketing site remains available and performant, even under degraded conditions.
  • Help document and maintain runbooks and operational guidelines for incident response related to the marketing site.

4. Marketing Enablement & Velocity
  • Enable marketing teams to:
    • Build and publish pages independently via Builder.io
    • Schedule campaigns safely
    • Reuse governed components and design patterns
  • Translate Figma designs into reusable, performant Astro components.
  • Enforce design governance without slowing iteration.
  • Reduce engineering bottlenecks while maintaining code quality.

5. Scalability, Multi-Tenancy & Future-Proofing

  • Support Sanity-based multi-tenant content models without duplicating infrastructure.
  • Ensure the architecture scales cleanly as traffic, content volume, and tenant complexity grow.
  • Evaluate and integrate future tools (analytics, experimentation, personalization) without introducing lock-in or performance debt.

KPIS + Targets

  • Marketing velocity: Marketers can ship campaigns and landing pages without engineering intervention.
  • Performance: Core Web Vitals remain best-in-class for the category.
  • Reliability: The marketing site stays online—even when dependencies fail.
  • Maintainability: Clean content models, reusable components, and low operational overhead.
  • Cost discipline: The stack remains cost-efficient as traffic and usage scale.
Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of experience maintaining Astro applications.
  • 2+ years running headless CMS platforms such as Contentful, Storyblok, Sanity, Strapi, or WordPress (headless)
  • Strong knowledge of Core Web Vitals, caching strategies, and performance-tuning techniques
  • Hands-on experience with technical SEO, structured data, and web accessibility
  • Ability to translate technical details for non-technical partners and keep projects moving
  • Comfort working with GA4, Looker (or similar), Google Search Console, and collaborating with data teams on reporting
  • Bonus points for fintech or other regulated-industry experience
  • Comfort working directly with marketing, design, and content teams.
  • Experience with Google Tag Manager (Client, but Server preferred)
  • Experience deploying and managing a consent management platform
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with visual CMS or page builders (Builder.io, Webflow, Contentful visual editors).
  • Experience leading or supporting a CMS migration is a plus
  • Familiarity with Islands Architecture and partial hydration concepts.
  • Experience implementing static site search solutions (Pagefind, Lunr, Algolia alternatives).
  • Experience translating Figma designs into production-ready components.
  • Exposure to multi-tenant content or SaaS architectures.
