About KiwiCo:

KiwiCo is an innovative eCommerce company dedicated to sparking creativity and curiosity in kids (and kids at heart!). Through both online and offline materials, we provide fun and engaging ways for kids to explore, create, and learn. Our primary offering is a subscription service where we deliver "whoa awesome," hands-on projects to kids. We also manage an e-commerce storefront and a content platform to inspire and educate. We take great pride and ownership in the products we build and in the community of parents and kids we serve.

Our office is located in Mountain View, CA within walking distance to the Caltrain station. This position follows a hybrid work schedule, with 3-4 office days per week (depending on your team) and the remainder of the week working remotely.

About the Job:

KiwiCo is seeking a Wholesale Strategy Manager to drive and expand our wholesale channel. This role will work closely with the Chief Product and Merchandising Officer and cross-functional teams to create and execute strategic plans that grow our retail partnerships and brand presence.

Role and Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning: Partner with the Head of Wholesale to develop and execute both long-term and short-term strategies for wholesale channel growth
  • Account Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective wholesale partners through exceptional communication, account management, and sales outreach.
  • Seasonal Pitches: Prepare compelling presentations for seasonal product pitches and manage product samples.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product Design, Creative, and Supply Chain teams on wholesale product development — from concept through cost negotiation and merchandising.
  • Operations Coordination: Liaise with Operations and Accounting to ensure timely delivery and invoicing. Partner with external vendors for packaging and in-store display needs.
  • Market Awareness: Stay on top of retail trends, competitive insights, and macro industry shifts. Regularly visit retail locations to identify new opportunities and gather market intel.
  • Demand Planning: Own wholesale demand forecasting and inventory management to support retailer needs.
  • Sales Reporting & Marketing Alignment: Track and report on wholesale performance. Collaborate with Marketing to maximize sales, profitability, and brand visibility within wholesale accounts.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience in wholesale account management or related roles
  • Strong project management skills and fluency with tools such as Airtable
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects and manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Able to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Growth-oriented with an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Innovative and resourceful problem-solver

The starting pay range for this position is between $100,000 and $115,000 per year. However, the final base salary offered may differ based on several factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and business needs.

In addition to base pay, KiwiCo offers a comprehensive total rewards package, which may include opportunities for an annual bonus, stock options, and a variety of benefits related to health, financial security, and well-being. Specific details about these benefits will be shared if an offer of employment is extended.

If hired, the position is “at-will” and the Company reserves the right to modify any component, plan, or program of the total rewards package at any time, for any reason.

If you’re passionate about delivering innovative, delightful, and enriching products and experiences for kids, we’d love to hear from you!
