  • Advising key stakeholders through selection, transformation, implementation, and configuration of Workday. Our consultants are hands-on involved in full-scale implementation, project management, change management, requirements and design, process improvement, testing, integration enablement support, overseeing supplier enablement, and best practices  
  • Contributing beyond client delivery, including, but not limited to recruiting, coaching, marketing, business development, practice development, operational improvement, and beyond
  • Implementing performance improvement and cost-reduction initiatives

About the Role 

We’re seeking an experienced, certified Workato Technical Architect to lead the design, development, and governance of complex enterprise integrations and automations using the Workato platform. This role requires deep expertise in Workato, modern iPaaS architecture patterns, and large-scale multi-system integrations across cloud, SaaS, and on-premise environments. 

You will partner with business and technology teams to architect scalable solutions, guide integration strategy, and ensure successful enterprise adoption of automation capabilities. This is a hands-on, client-facing, architect-level role that blends technical depth, leadership, and strategic advisory. 

 

As a Workato Technical Architect, you’ll have the opportunity to: 

Architect & Implement Enterprise Integration Solutions 

  • Design and build enterprise-level integrations using Workato Recipes, Connectors, API Platform, Workato SDK, and event-driven patterns

  • Develop and maintain reusable frameworks, governance standards, and Workato best practices. 

  • Create prototypes to demonstrate design approaches and validate architecture strategies. 

Lead Discovery, Analysis & Strategic Design 

  • Conduct deep analysis of business processes and systems to develop integration strategies and automation roadmaps. 

  • Identify opportunities to improve data flow, orchestration, and operational efficiency. 

  • Apply industry standards, Workato GEARS methodology, and enterprise integration best practices. 

Deliver Client-Facing Enablement & Advisory 

  • Lead workshops, design sessions, and training programs on Workato integration patterns. 

  • Coach customers and partners on Workato delivery frameworks, lifecycle management, and governance. 

  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor for integration architecture, testing readiness, and deployment strategies. 

Manage the Full Integration Lifecycle 

  • Oversee end-to-end integration delivery, from requirements to production deployment. 

  • Guide unit testing, integration testing, UAT, and production readiness assessments. 

  • Monitor runtime performance, reliability, scalability, and error-handling health. 

  • Partner with security and compliance teams to ensure adherence to regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, SOX). 

Lead & Mentor a Technical Team 

  • Provide leadership and oversight to integration developers and automation engineers. 

  • Mentor extended pre-sales and post-sales team members on Workato delivery excellence.

  • Lead content creation: best practices, white papers, demo assets, reusable patterns, and training modules. 

 

We’re looking for someone with: 

Required Qualifications 

  • 10+ years progressive experience in integration engineering, archi tecture, or iPaaS development. 

  • 5+ years consulting or technology transformation experience, including hands-on delivery. 

  • 4+ years of hands-on Workato development and architecture (recipes, custom connectors, API integrations, governance). 

  •  Proven experience integrating major enterprise systems such as Workday, Salesforce, NetSuite, ServiceNow, and other SaaS platforms. 

  • Deep understanding of REST, SOAP, webhooks, event-driven architecture, JSON, XML, CSV transformations. 

  • Strong background in data flow design, payload modeling, dat a quality, and API-led design.  

  • Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical groups. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Workato certification. 

  • Workday Experience 

  • Experience implementing workflow orchestration, process automation, or RPA strategy. 

  • Exposure to security and governance best practices for large enterprises. 

Soft Skills & Personal Characteristics 

  • Ability to simplify technical concepts for executive and functional audiences. 

  • Self-starter who takes ownership and thrives in cross-functional, fast-paced environments. 

  • Passion for continuous learning, technical innovation, and pushing platform capabilities. 

  • Experience in startup or high-growth environments is a plus. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Architect, design, and implement scalable and secure Workato-based integrations. 

  • Lead requirements gathering, business process analysis, and solution architecture. 

  • Oversee recipe development, testing best practices, deployment frameworks, and migration. 

  • Develop reusable architecture patterns and governance models across Workato workspaces. 

  • Guide and mentor team members, partners, and customers on Workato delivery excellence. 

  • Conduct production readiness assessments, post-go-live reviews, and optimization cycles. 

  • Collaborate across teams to align integrations with business strategy. 

  • Act as Workato evangelist—demonstrate the platform’s value across multiple industries. 

  • Contribute content for professional services enablement, training, and architecture standards.
