The Workday HRIS Specialist is responsible for supporting and maintaining the HRIS (Workday), which includes various modules for Reporting, Core Data, Compensation, Payroll, and Benefits. As we continue to adjust to using Workday, this role is responsible for maintaining system function and assisting with the ongoing development of the new system.

The ideal candidate for this role is organized, collaborative, analytical, and has great attention to detail. They must be comfortable working independently, with the flexibility to change priorities, as the needs of the department change. They’ll work closely with HR, Payroll, and cross-functional teams to configure, test, and launch Workday modules, while also supporting ongoing system enhancements and user adoption. A strong working knowledge of Excel and overall adaptability to new programs are a must! The ideal candidate will also be able to handle a fast-paced work environment while being able to handle sensitive and confidential information. This is an excellent opportunity to make an impact on the organization. 

If in San Diego, this position may be hybrid, with about 1 day per week in the office, or as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Review, adjust, and maintain Bonus plans in the Advanced Compensation module, and create new compensation plans as needed.
  • Work with our Payroll teams to create, maintain, and distribute optimized Workday Reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Supports the continued Workday post-go-live stabilization process, including data validation, user acceptance testing (UAT), and stakeholder training. 
  • Supports upgrades or changes to current HRIS system and facilitates implementation of new HRIS.
  • Inputs, supports, and maintains data integrity in all systems in the Human Resources function for all employees.  Performs quality checks of employee data and reports to ensure accuracy.
  • Responds promptly to inquiries, with an exceptional level of customer service.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree 
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel knowledge 
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience  
  • Experience with Workday HRIS is a must, specifically with Advanced Compensation and Payroll; experience with Core HCM and Performance Management a plus
  • Self-starter who had an innate aptitude for problem solving 
  • Meticulous and detail-oriented mindset 
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer focused attitude 
  • Experience with implementation and transition of new software systems is a plus 
  • Education in the HR field is a plus; interest in the HR field is a must

COMPENSATION: Aya reasonably anticipates the pay scale for this position to be $32.69 to $43.27 hourly, which equates to $68,000 to $90,000 annually.

The pay scale for this position may vary if applicant possesses experience outside of what Aya reasonably anticipates for this position. Bonuses are subject to the role and your manager’s discretion.
