About WellTheory

WellTheory is a digital health company helping people with autoimmune conditions take control of their health through personalized care, nutrition guidance, and ongoing coaching. We're a team of 60+ passionate people who care deeply about helping our members reduce symptoms, feel better, and live fuller lives — while helping employers and payors reduce their spend.

About the Role

WellTheory is hiring a Workforce Strategy & Planning Lead to support the growth and efficiency of our Care Team operations. You'll build and manage the forecasting models, planning systems, and operational processes that let us deliver care at scale — while maintaining quality and provider satisfaction.

This role reports directly to our Co-Founder and Head of Ops, and works cross-functionally with Care, Product, Marketing, and Finance to inform staffing decisions, hiring timelines, and operational improvements. As a key member of the operations team, you'll help define how we scale Care delivery sustainably.

What You'll Do
  • Own workforce capacity modeling and forecasting based on user growth, enrollment trends, and care delivery expectations

  • Collaborate with Care leadership to define and monitor productivity, caseload distribution, and resourcing strategy

  • Partner with Marketing and Product teams to anticipate upcoming needs and proactively plan staffing accordingly

  • Analyze performance and utilization metrics to surface operational improvements

  • Create scalable tools, dashboards, and workflows that align people and process across the care journey

  • Support hiring plans, onboarding ramp timelines, and ongoing performance monitoring

You Might Be a Great Fit If You...
  • Have 5-10+ years of experience in operations, strategy, workforce planning, or capacity management roles, with proven experience managing workforce models or staffing frameworks, ideally in healthcare, tech, or service delivery

  • Are deeply analytical and enjoy using data to solve complex resourcing challenges — you're comfortable in Excel/Google Sheets, and familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau) is a plus

  • Have a systems mindset and enjoy building processes that scale, with strong project management skills and comfort navigating ambiguity in a startup environment

  • Communicate well across teams and can translate business needs into operational plans

  • Are energized by working in a mission-driven, early-stage environment where your work has direct impact, and are comfortable defining new workflows from scratch rather than working in a more established, structured environment

Bonus Points
  • Experience scaling a workforce planning function or care delivery model

  • Familiarity with telehealth, digital health, or member-based care models

  • Experience working with or supporting clinical teams

  • You've been called a "force of nature" and have done something most people wouldn't — run a marathon, started a company, earned a degree while working full-time, or overcome significant adversity

  • You have direct experience in digital health or the autoimmune/chronic condition space

What We Offer
  • A team that genuinely cares about each other and the members we serve

  • A fully remote company that gathers every year for an annual retreat

  • A base salary range of $95,000 - $125,000 with meaningful equity and benefits. Placement within our range depends on directly relevant skills and experiences you bring to the role.

  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
