2026 Summer Intern - Learning & Skill Development

Department Summary

The Business Integration group within the Learning & Skill Development department is focused on preparing Commercial, Medical and Government Affairs to have the skills they need to deliver business impact . In order to enhance their performance and deliver on business outcomes the Business Integration group delivers a Learning Strategy and Plan that allows the learner to travel through their knowledge journey and complete  written and verbal certifications.   

This position is based in South San Francisco, CA, On-Site.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated Summer Intern to join our Business Integration team. This role is a unique opportunity to support the design and execution of innovative learning experiments using AI and autonomous virtual certification methods. The pilot projects you will be involved in aim to measure the impact of learning on performance, optimize customer engagement preparation, and inform strategic business decisions, all while enhancing the overall employee learning experience.  

  • AI Experimentation & Certification Design: Assist in developing new experiments leveraging AI to create autonomous virtual certification processes.

  • Impact Measurement: Evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs on performance and customer engagement readiness.

  • Platform Utilization: Utilize various platforms to enhance and measure the employee learning experience.

  • Implementation Planning: Develop detailed plans for the implementation of AI-driven certifications.

  • Employee Experience Improvement: Focus on increasing employee engagement and experience within their Learning Journey by integrating innovative tools and methodologies.

  • Trend Identification: Identify and analyze emerging trends that could support the learning-to-application process for new hires across selected roles within the organization.

Program Highlights

  • Intensive 12-weeks, full-time (40 hours per week) paid internship.

  • Program start dates are in May/June (Summer) 

  • A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship. 

  • Ownership of challenging and impactful business-critical projects.

  • Work with some of the most talented people in the biotechnology industry.

Who You Are (Requirements) 

Required Education: You meet one of the following criteria:

  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree (enrolled student).

Required majors: Business, Finance, Political Science, Bachelor of Science or Arts, Education, Data Science

Required Skills: 

  • Basic Knowledge of Google Suite of Products.

  • Basic Knowledge and utilization of Social Media Platforms (not a developer, but a user of the platforms).

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

Relocation benefits are not available for this job posting. 

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of  South San Francisco, CA is $24- $33/hour.  Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position also qualifies for paid holiday time off benefits.
