The Opportunity

Join our Digital Employee Experience team as a Context Engineer (New Grad) and get a front-row seat to an emerging discipline at the intersection of language, system design, and enterprise operations. You’ll work alongside diverse functional roles, gaining hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies—including large language models (LLMs)—to improve the human experience at work. You’ll design and implement pipelines that assemble the right mix of inputs—such as instructions, frameworks, standards, tools, and memory—to ensure models respond accurately and safely, directly impacting employee productivity and experience. You’ll benefit from mentorship, ongoing learning, and the opportunity to shape the future of AI in the enterprise.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to research and deeply understand what enterprise knowledge needs to be packaged for LLMs to enhance productivity in various functions.
  • Create context templates combining few-shot examples, chain-of-thought scaffolding, and structured formatting.
  • Design and implement context pipelines that assemble and structure information for LLMs.
  • Develop memory mechanisms to manage conversational state across sessions, including summarizing, pruning, and compressing previous interactions.
  • Optimize for cost, latency, and reliability, balancing token limits, response time, and accuracy in production environments.
  • Document and share best practices for context engineering across the enterprise.
  • Learn from senior engineers and participate in ongoing professional development.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Master’s degree (or exceptional Bachelor’s) in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
  • Professional experience through internships, projects, or past work related to leveraging LLMs to enhance productivity.
  • Experience using Python and frameworks such as Hugging Face, LangChain, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
  • Familiarity with IDEs (e.g., Cursor), APIs, data structures, and JSON.
  • Understanding of tokenization, prompt formatting, and context window limits.
  • Demonstrated critical and deep thinking abilities to understand “why” and explore alternative approaches to achieve goals.
  • Excellent communication skills—fearless in asking questions to ensure clear understanding and able to simplify complex concepts for less technical audiences.
  • Passion for learning and contributing to a collaborative, inclusive team.
