Implement and extend Java-based REST services for the Low/No Connectivity project. Build APIs, unit tests, fix defects, participate in design/code reviews and Agile team ceremonies, and coordinate with engineering and product management.

Will work on new features and applications the client is building as part of the Low / No Connectivity project.
Responsibilities:
- Work with architects and lead engineers to implement service end-points
- Use experience in developing java REST services to add new APIs for the LNC project
- Build unit tests and participate in code reviews
- Work on defects and enhancements as part of product lifecycle
- Participate in team stand ups and design sessions
- Coordinate effectively with team members in engineering and product management
- MS degree in CS, EE, Math or related field
- 7+ years developing applications using Java, Jetty, jaxb, Servlets, Spring framework, HTTP servers, web application servers, XML, and JDBC
- Experience working with relational databases like MySQL
- Development experience on Linux platforms
- Team-player with excellent communication skills to participate in meetings and present design ideas.
- Self-motivated, quick-learner and works efficiently.
- Ability to implement creative and simple solutions to complex problems
Desirable:
- Knowledge of NoSQL database technologies like Redis.
- Working knowledge of messaging systems like rabbitmq
- Willingness and ability to learn from peers.
- Ability to mentor junior team members.
- Have a startup mindset and willing to take initiative.
- Experience working in an Agile development team
