Our Mission

You call. You wait. You call again. In every other part of your life, you book in seconds. In healthcare, you’re blocked.

We’re here to give power to the patient.

For nearly 20 years, we’ve built the leading healthcare marketplace - helping tens of millions of people find and book the care they need. Now, we’re going further: building our infrastructure beyond Zocdoc’s marketplace to power access to care wherever patients search, from provider websites and insurance directories to search engines, AI platforms, and more.

Healthcare still lacks something every other major consumer industry takes for granted: a seamless way to go from seeking to getting. We don’t want to own the front door to care; there isn't one. We want to make sure all of those doors open when patients are knocking.

Fixing healthcare starts with fixing access to it. And we're still just getting started.

Your Impact on our Mission
Zocdoc's most important asset is our people. As an Account Director, Health Systems, you'll identify, develop, and close new partnerships with some of the nation's largest and most sophisticated health systems. You'll build relationships with executive stakeholders, lead complex enterprise sales cycles, and guide customers from initial engagement through signed agreement while navigating the clinical, operational, financial, legal, procurement, and technical stakeholders involved in every decision.
This is an opportunity to shape how leading health systems connect patients to care while expanding Zocdoc's footprint across the country. Working alongside Product, Marketing, Legal, Finance, Customer Success, and Executive Leadership, you'll influence go-to-market strategy, help solve complex customer challenges, and bring new strategic partnerships to life. If you're energized by building relationships from the ground up, thrive in executive conversations, and enjoy being in the field with customers, you'll have the opportunity to make a significant impact on one of Zocdoc's highest-priority growth initiatives.
You’ll enjoy this role if you...

  • Love building relationships from the ground up and are energized by opening new doors with prospective clients
  • Thrive in complex enterprise sales environments where success requires patience, strategy, and persistence
  • Enjoy engaging executive stakeholders and influencing decisions across clinical, operational, financial, IT, legal, and procurement teams
  • Are naturally curious and enjoy understanding your clients' biggest challenges before proposing solutions
  • Excel at partnering cross-functionally to navigate complex deals and deliver exceptional client experiences
  • Prefer spending time in the field building relationships face-to-face and are excited by regular travel
  • Are motivated by ambitious revenue goals and take pride in winning strategic, high-impact partnerships

Your day to day is…

  • Identifying, prospecting, and developing new business opportunities across large health systems
  • Building strategic relationships with executive stakeholders and establishing yourself as a trusted advisor throughout the sales process
  • Owning the full enterprise sales cycle—from initial outreach through contract negotiation and signed agreement
  • Leading complex, multi-threaded sales motions across clinical, operational, financial, IT, legal, procurement, and executive stakeholders
  • Developing account strategies and territory plans to prioritize high-value opportunities and drive sustainable pipeline growth
  • Delivering compelling executive presentations and building business cases that demonstrate measurable value for prospective clients
  • Forecasting pipeline, revenue, and deal progression with a high degree of accuracy
  • Partnering closely with Product, Marketing, Solutions, Finance, Legal, and Client Success to navigate complex deals and ensure a seamless transition to long-term partnership
  • Representing Zocdoc at client meetings, industry events, and conferences while traveling up to 75%

You’ll be successful in this role if you have…

  • 7-10+ years of enterprise sales experience, with a proven track record of sourcing, developing, and closing net-new business within large health systems
  • Demonstrated success navigating complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles involving executive, clinical, operational, financial, IT, legal, and procurement leaders
  • A history of consistently meeting or exceeding ambitious revenue targets in a quota-carrying role
  • Exceptional executive presence with experience building trusted relationships and influencing C-suite decision-makers
  • Strong account planning, territory strategy, and pipeline management skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across technical and executive audiences
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally with teams including Product, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Solutions, and Client Success to drive successful outcomes
  • Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred), Google Workspace, and AI-powered productivity tools

Benefits

  • Flexible work environment
  • Unlimited Vacation
  • 100% paid employee health benefit options (including medical, dental, and vision)
  • 401(k) with employer funded match
  • Corporate wellness program with Wellhub
  • Sabbatical leave (for employees with 5+ years of service)
  • Competitive paid parental leave and fertility/family planning reimbursement
  • Cell phone reimbursement
  • Employee Resource Groups and ZocClubs to promote shared community and belonging
