About us

Sparrow is the first high-tech, high-touch employee leave management solution. Our mission is to make it simple for companies to provide their employees with all kinds of leave (i.e. family, medical, etc.).

Currently, the leave management process is painful and inefficient for everyone. Company leaders struggle to keep up with regulations and processes that change frequently, and the employees going on leave are overwhelmed by bureaucracy at an exceptionally important juncture in their career. Sparrow transforms this ordinarily tedious, error-prone, complex to remain compliant, and time-consuming process into a 30-minute end-to-end experience saving teams time (20 - 40 hours per leave) and money (up to $30K per leave).

Sparrow is headquartered in San Francisco but all employees work remotely across the country. Sparrow is a diverse, highly talented, and supportive team. Together, we are hardworking, collaborative, smart, and humble—after all, we’re solving real problems.

What you'll do
  • Build your own pipeline. Run a disciplined outbound motion across email, phone and LinkedIn to generate new opportunities, alongside the inbound leads and SDR-sourced meetings you'll receive.

  • Run a high-volume sales cycle. Manage a large book of SMB opportunities from first call to signed contract, moving deals quickly without losing quality.

  • Be a trusted advisor to HR teams. Educate HR professionals and channel partners on how Sparrow solves their leave management pain points, needs and challenges.

  • Master the demo. Deliver our value deck and product demo, simplify a complicated process through storytelling, and articulate ROI against the competitive landscape.

  • Use a best-in-class tech stack. Work in Salesforce, Outreach, Gong, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Chili Piper and more to accelerate deals and sharpen your skills.

  • Hit your number. Close new business and consistently achieve quota.

  • Be the voice of the customer. Share feedback with cross-functional teams, and partner with implementation and leave specialists for a smooth handoff to new customers.

What you bring
  • HR tech experience. You've sold into HR, benefits or people teams at an HR tech or adjacent B2B SaaS company.

  • A closing track record. 2+ years as a quota-carrying AE in B2B SaaS, consistently meeting or exceeding quarterly and annual targets. You know your numbers: quota, attainment, deal size, sales cycle and close rate.

  • A strong outbound engine. You've generated a meaningful share of your own pipeline through outbound prospecting, and you can walk us through your cadence and results.

  • Comfort with volume. You thrive managing many deals at once with short cycles, tight follow-up and smart prioritization of your time.

  • A learner's mindset. Self-directed, adaptable and hungry for feedback in a fast-paced environment with high expectations. You obsess over your metrics.

  • Product curiosity. Leave management is complicated. You can learn it deeply and educate customers through value selling, demos and ROI.

  • Outstanding communication. Clear, empathetic and persuasive across email, chat and phone, with active listening and strong follow-through.

  • Fluency in the modern sales stack. Experience with Salesforce, Salesloft, Outreach,ChatGPT, Claude, Gong, Zoominfo, Sales Navigator and LinkedIn is a plus. What matters most is that you use your tools to work smarter and keep your pipeline accurate.

Bonus points for experience working with brokers to drive referral business.
