The Opportunity:
Ziff Davis - CNET Group is seeking a high-energy Account Executive specializing in Affiliate Sales to help develop and scale our premier commerce partnerships. CNET Group is a trusted global marketplace that connects technology buyers and sellers with actionable intent data.
In this role, you will focus on growing affiliate revenue through a consultative approach. You will work closely with partners to execute thoughtful, full-funnel commerce campaigns that leverage our scale, quality of data, and editorial influence. Key Responsibilities:
- Affiliate Business Development: Identify and pursue new affiliate partnerships (Direct and Network) to grow your portfolio and generate revenue streams across tech and consumer goods.
- Partnership Management: Manage a portfolio of affiliate accounts, ensuring high-quality service, timely optimizations, and the cultivation of long-lasting relationships.
- Revenue Optimization: Consistently work toward meeting sales targets and showcasing growth. You will use data to recommend flat-fee placements and CPA optimizations.
- SEO/GEO Integration: Develop an understanding of SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) to consult clients on how CNET’s content surfaces in search and AI-driven environments.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with internal Affiliate Operations, Editorial, and Business Intelligence teams to ensure the seamless execution of commerce solutions.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain an accurate Salesforce pipeline, providing regular forecasting and progress tracking to management.
Job Qualifications:
- 3+ years of digital sales experience, with at least 1–2 years specifically focused on Affiliate Marketing.
- Familiarity with the affiliate industry, including experience with major networks (Impact, CJ, Rakuten, etc.) and various commission structures.
- A strong interest in SEO/GEO trends is a major plus, as these drive the visibility of our affiliate-led content.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to present confidently to partners and internal teams.
- You lead by example and are known for owning your work while treating everyone with respect and kindness.

Compensation Range:
Ziff Davis provides a range for the base pay. Factors that may be used to determine your actual pay may include your specific job related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. The salary compensation for this role is $95,000 to $110,000 plus commission. Individual pay within the compensation range for this business unit specific role is determined based on a variety of factors including experience, scope of the role, capabilities to perform the role, education and training, as well as business and company performance.
