About Numeral

Numeral is transforming how taxes get done. Digital businesses today are bogged down by a painful web of regulations across 47 states and 70+ countries. We eliminate that burden so teams can focus on what they actually set out to build.

We're the largest and fastest-growing AI-native tax solution. Founded in 2023, we've raised over $57M from Benchmark, Mayfield, Y Combinator, and others. We serve 3,000+ paying customers and have more than tripled revenue every year in our history.

The Role

You'll join our Commercial sales team at the steepest part of the growth curve. Your buyers are founders, CFOs, controllers, and ops leaders at e-commerce and fintech companies who are drowning in compliance work. Most of them know they have a problem. Your job is to run a sharp discovery, show them a better way, and close.

This is a full-cycle, high-velocity role: real pipeline ownership, short cycles, and a product that demos incredibly well. You'll close deals in weeks, not quarters, and you'll help shape the playbook as we scale the team.

What You'll Do
  • Own the full sales cycle from first touch to close, across inbound and outbound

  • Run world-class discovery and demos, mapping Numeral's automation to each customer's operational, technical, and financial workflows

  • Manage a high-velocity pipeline with precision: efficient cycles, rigorous CRM hygiene, and clean handoffs to onboarding

  • Work closely with Sales Leadership, Product, and Solutions Engineering to sharpen messaging, improve win rates, and influence the roadmap

  • Help build the GTM machine: improve processes, playbooks, and outbound motions as we scale

  • Represent Numeral at industry events, conferences, and strategic customer conversations

What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of sales experience with a consistent record of meeting or beating quota

  • 3+ years of experience as an Account Executive or in a comparable closing role

  • Experience selling to finance, accounting, or operations buyers (fintech, tax, ERP, or compliance SaaS is a plus)

  • Strong discovery and consultative selling instincts, paired with a bias for action

  • Operational excellence with high-volume pipelines and short cycles

  • Comfort with ambiguity: you prioritize ruthlessly, stay organized, and execute without waiting for direction

  • A hunter's drive and a founder's mindset: scrappy, creative, and obsessed with customer outcomes

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication

  • Coachable, resilient, and energized by hard problems

Bonus Points
  • Background in sales tax, taxtech, fintech, or e-commerce tooling

  • Familiarity with MEDDICC or similar sales methodologies

  • Fluency with Salesforce, Gong, Nooks, and modern sales stack tools

  • You already use AI tools to work faster and smarter, and you have opinions about it

Why Numeral
  • Sell a product customers genuinely need, in a market growing underneath you

  • Join early enough that your fingerprints end up on the playbook, the process, and the culture

  • Learn directly from leadership in a team that invests heavily in coaching and enablement

  • You'll report to the Head of Commercial Sales and get regular coaching, development, and deal support

  • Fully remote, with the flexibility to work out of our SF or NY offices whenever you want
