Hi! 👋 I’m Ayrton, based in Amsterdam. Working in software sales has shown me how meaningful this field can be when the environment supports real growth. At WeTravel, people are encouraged to bring their full potential, contribute to something larger than themselves, and feel genuinely part of a team with purpose. That’s the foundation I want to build on as we grow. We’re seeing strong opportunities ahead, and I’m putting together a team ready to meet them with focus and discipline.

I’m looking for someone who doesn’t let obstacles decide their direction, someone who understands that consistent, above-average results only come from steady, above-average effort. The psychology behind why people buy matters in this role—how decisions form, what motivates action, and how trust is built. This position mixes Account Executive responsibilities with room to shape your own approach. You’ll have support, but you’ll also need to work things out independently, test ideas, and adapt quickly.

If you’re motivated by learning, committed to reaching your personal income goals, and willing to bring sustained energy to your work, you’ll fit well here. It’s a remote role with potential for long-term growth. It won’t suit everyone. It suits people who want to build something meaningful through consistent, thoughtful work.

How We Work

At WeTravel, our Sales team combines autonomy with strong collaboration. As an Account Executive, you'll own the full sales cycle — from initial outreach and discovery calls to product demos, closing deals, and smoothly handing off to onboarding.

We focus on understanding each client's unique needs and aligning our solutions to match. You won’t just sell — you’ll guide and support potential customers in discovering how WeTravel (products) can truly help their business thrive.

We value proactive, solution-oriented individuals who aren’t afraid to take initiative, spot opportunities, and act on them. Our team moves fast, supports one another, and celebrates wins together — big and small. You’ll spend most of your time doing what actually moves the needle: prospecting, demoing, and following up with qualified leads.

You should apply if you:

  • Have 2+ years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in SaaS or the travel industry

  • Are fluent in English and Dutch ; proficiency in other languages is a plus.

  • Possess excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Are comfortable making outbound calls and conducting product demos.

  • Have experience managing the full sales cycle and achieving sales targets.

  • Are self-motivated (we love self starters!) and goal-oriented.

You might not be the right fit if you:

  • Prefer a highly structured environment with constant supervision.

  • Are uncomfortable with outbound sales activities and cold calling.

  • Lack experience in consultative selling or managing the full sales cycle.

  • Are not self-driven and need lots of guidance.

On a Weekly Basis You Will Find Yourself

  • Prospecting and reaching out to potential clients in the travel industry.

  • Conducting product demonstrations and highlighting the value of WeTravel's platform.

  • Managing the sales pipeline and closing deals to meet or exceed targets.

  • Collaborating with the onboarding team to ensure a smooth transition for new clients.

  • Providing feedback to the product team based on client interactions and needs.

Benefits

  • Attractive compensation - uncapped commission. Base Full-time Salary is 48,600 (EUR) (On Target Earnings: Year 1 OTE = EUR 95,000, Year 2 OTE = EUR 130,000)

  • Minimum 4 days at office in Rokin, Amsterdam with flexibility of a work-from-home day a week

  • Generous "Time to Recharge" policy — enjoy unlimited paid time off to rest, recharge, and show up as your best self.

  • Work remotely for a maximum of 4 weeks per calendar year.

  • 2-week cross-functional onboarding program.

  • Cycle-to-work scheme (Swapfiets subscription) or commuting reimbursement.

  • Monday and Thursday lunches and after-work social events.

  • Beautiful office in central Amsterdam – rooftop garden and right by Rokin metro.

  • Extensive paid family leave.

  • Three paid volunteer days per year — take time to give back to causes you care about, on us.

  • Cutting-edge equipment and tools to set you up for success.

  • Join an international, travel-loving team with a passion for adventure and innovation.

  • Employer-sponsored pension plan with a 2% employer contribution deposited into your individual pension account.

  • Access to a 10% group discount on supplementary/additional health insurance (aanvullende verzekeringen), with the same discount available to eligible family members.

Please note:

  • For this role, we can only consider candidates who have the full legal right to work in the country this role is advertised for (citizenship or residency). Unfortunately, WeTravel is not able to offer visa sponsorship or relocation assistance at this time.

What you need to know about the San Francisco Tech Scene

San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area attracts more startup funding than any other region in the world. Home to Stanford University and UC Berkeley, leading VC firms and several of the world’s most valuable companies, the Bay Area is the place to go for anyone looking to make it big in the tech industry. That said, San Francisco has a lot to offer beyond technology thanks to a thriving art and music scene, excellent food and a short drive to several of the country’s most beautiful recreational areas.

Key Facts About San Francisco Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 365,500; 13.9% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Bessemer Venture Partners, Greylock Partners, Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins
  • Research Centers and Universities: Stanford University; University of California, Berkeley; University of San Francisco; Santa Clara University; Ames Research Center; Center for AI Safety; California Institute for Regenerative Medicine
