The Role
We're hiring an Account Executive to join our Sales team and drive revenue growth by bringing Canvas Medical's innovative EMR platform to forward-thinking healthcare organizations. You'll be responsible for managing the full sales cycle from prospecting through close, partnering with clinical, operational, and financial stakeholders to demonstrate how Canvas can transform their practice's efficiency and patient outcomes.
The ideal candidate brings a proven track record of exceeding quota in healthcare technology sales, with deep understanding of clinical workflows and the unique challenges facing modern healthcare practices. You'll thrive in our fast-paced, mission-driven environment where experimentation and rapid iteration are core to how we work. This role requires someone who can articulate complex technical capabilities to diverse audiences while building trust with healthcare leaders who are reimagining how technology can enable better care delivery.
You'll collaborate closely with our Customer Success, Product, and Engineering teams to ensure prospects understand the full value of our platform. Responsibilities
- Drive Revenue Growth Through Full-Cycle Sales: Own and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets by managing a robust pipeline of qualified opportunitiesConduct compelling product demonstrations that showcase Canvas Medical's automation capabilities and clinical workflow improvementsNavigate complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles with clinical, operational, and financial decision-makersCreate and deliver customized proposals that articulate clear ROI and implementation roadmapsPartner with leadership to refine pricing strategies and deal structures that accelerate adoption
- Build Strategic Healthcare Relationships: Develop deep relationships with healthcare executives, practice administrators, and clinical leadersBecome a trusted advisor on healthcare automation and modern EMR capabilitiesCollaborate with Customer Success to ensure smooth handoffs and successful implementationsGather and synthesize market feedback to inform product roadmap and competitive positioning
- Scale Go-to-Market Excellence: Experiment with new prospecting strategies and refine our ideal customer profileCreate repeatable playbooks for different market segments and buyer personasPartner with Marketing to develop compelling case studies and sales collateralContribute to the development of our sales methodology and best practices as we scale
Who You Are
- Required Experience & Background
- 3+ years of quota-carrying sales experience in healthcare technology, preferably selling EMR, practice management, or clinical workflow solutions
- Demonstrated track record of consistently exceeding sales targets of $1M+ annually
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- Experience navigating complex enterprise sales cycles with multiple stakeholders
- Healthcare Expertise
- Deep understanding of clinical workflows, practice operations, and healthcare regulatory environment
- Familiarity with EMR platforms, healthcare automation trends, and interoperability challenges
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and clinical documentation standardsUnderstanding of the economic drivers and reimbursement models in healthcare
- Skills & Capabilities
- Exceptional storytelling and presentation skills with ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Strong discovery skills to uncover pain points and map solutions to customer needs
- Proficiency with modern sales tools (Salesforce, Outreach/Salesloft, etc.)
- Excellent written communication for proposals, follow-ups, and internal collaboration
