Why join us
Civ Robotics is revolutionizing the $3T infrastructure construction industry by automating repetitive, labor-intensive tasks. Our mission is to bridge the workforce gap and accelerate the development of critical infrastructure projects with cutting-edge robotics and autonomous navigation technology.
With 100+ robots deployed and operating on construction sites worldwide, we’re redefining efficiency, safety, and precision in the field. We’re a fast-growing startup headquartered in San Francisco, backed by top-tier investors, and founded by industry experts with deep construction experience.
We're looking for an AE to own and grow our mid-market segment in the US. This role is ideal for someone who understands the surveying and geospatial buyer, knows how surveying firms evaluate equipment and workflow changes, and can translate technical capability into clear ROI.
The strongest candidates will have experience selling to surveyors and/or have worked at a geospatial dealer or a company selling directly into this market (hardware + software, GNSS/GPS, mapping, drones, positioning, machine control, etc.).
- Own the full sales cycle: Run deals end-to-end from prospecting and discovery to demo, proposal, negotiation, and close, while maintaining clean CRM hygiene and accurate forecasting.
- Sell into surveying & geospatial workflows: Engage owners/principals, survey managers, field crews, and operations leaders; understand how decisions get made and what drives switching or expansion.
- Outbound & territory building: Identify and pursue new mid-market accounts through targeted outbound, channel relationships, industry communities, and events.
- Run compelling demos: Deliver virtual and on-site product demos that connect Civ’s capabilities to real field outcomes (speed, accuracy, labor savings, rework reduction).
- Develop trust as an advisor: Become fluent in customer pain points and position Civ as a long-term solution.
- Partner cross-functionally: Work closely with Marketing, Customer Success, and Field/Ops to tighten messaging, incorporate feedback, and drive successful handoffs post-sale.
- Contribute to go-to-market motion: Help refine ICP, talk tracks, competitive positioning, and repeatable sales processes for the mid-market segment.
- 3+ years of B2B closing experience (Account Executive or similar) in geospatial, surveying, construction tech, drones/mapping, positioning/GNSS, machine control, or adjacent field-based technology.
- Direct exposure to surveyors as buyers: Proven experience selling into surveying firms or the surveying function at civil/construction organizations.
- Dealer / channel familiarity (strongly preferred): Experience working for a geospatial dealer or manufacturer selling into dealer-led and/or direct sales motions.
- Hardware + software comfort: Able to sell solutions that include physical products, software, and operational change.
- Strong discovery & qualification: Skilled at uncovering workflows, constraints, success criteria, and buying process details; comfortable navigating multi-stakeholder deals.
- Startup DNA: Comfortable in a fast-moving environment; self-directed, adaptable, and energized by building.
- Communication: Excellent presentation and negotiation skills; able to be crisp with both field users and business decision makers.
- Travel: Willing to travel ~25% for customer visits, demos, and trade shows.
- Familiarity with solar/civil workflows is a plus, but surveying/geospatial is the priority for this role.
Why join us
- Be part of a mission-driven team shaping the future of field automation.
- Work with cutting-edge robotics impacting real projects and real crews.
- Real ownership and direct influence on product direction and go-to-market.
- High trust, high impact environment with room to grow as the company scales.
- Comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, vision) for you and your family.
- 401k plan & commuter benefits.
- Competitive salary with growth potential.
- Equity options in a fast-growing robotics company.
