Join Mimecast's rapidly growing Customer Development team, a high-velocity sales environment that focuses on managing and expanding existing accounts. We are looking for a self-motivated, team-oriented individual with strong sales skills and a proven track record of success in upselling and retaining customers. This is a territory based role, with the ideal candidate living in Southern California.

What You’ll Do:

  • Revenue Growth: Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual upsell revenue targets.

  • Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing accounts.

  • Sales Planning: Develop and execute account and sales activity plans to meet revenue quotas.

  • Incremental Sales: Drive additional revenue by selling new technology to current customers.

  • Collaboration: Work with the Partner/Channel Development team to execute account plans.

  • Business Administration: Manage KPI reporting and CRM housekeeping.

  • Sales Methodology: Follow and implement end-to-end sales processes.

  • Customer Engagement: Conduct regular account reviews and customer meetings.

  • Training & Development: Attend training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Sales Expertise: Proven ability to achieve sales quotas and revenue targets.

  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of corporate IT teams, their buying processes, and the corporate technology stack.

  • Skills: Strong business acumen, excellent communication skills (written and verbal), and a results-oriented mindset.

  • Work Ethic: Self-starter with a dynamic, confident presentation style and a “can-do” attitude.

  • Essential Skills: Adaptability, problem-solving, teamwork, and leadership abilities

  • Commitment to Growth: A thirst for knowledge and a proactive approach to learning and applying new skills 

  • Team Player: Collaborative, adaptable, and able to critically assess personal and team performance.

  • Problem-Solving: Tenacious and comfortable in a high-performance, dynamic environment.

The on-target earnings (OTE) range for this position is $152,000−$228,000 (OTE) plus benefits. This range represents the minimum and maximum new hire compensation for this role. The position may also be eligible for incentive plans and additional benefits, in accordance with company policy and local regulations. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location with individual compensation also dependent on factors such as qualifications, experience, and skills. Final offers will reflect these considerations and may vary accordingly.
