🔍 What we're looking for
This is Aleph's first Account Manager hire. You'll own the revenue side of our customer relationships -renewals, expansions, upsells- working directly with finance teams who hold vendors to a high standard and can tell the difference between a good pitch and genuine expertise.
You're not walking into a blank slate. We have better-than-benchmark churn and NDR, a CS team that runs deep implementations, and customers who are genuinely happy with the product. What we're missing is someone to formalize the expansion motion, build it into a repeatable playbook, and own it going forward.
That means showing up credibly on two fronts: you can hold a commercial conversation with a CFO, and you can sit in a product implementation review and actually follow along.
This is a remote role open to candidates based anywhere in the US or Canada.
🧑💼 What you'll be doing
- Own the end-to-end renewal process for a portfolio of accounts
- Formalize our expansion playbook and scale it -- identify where growth potential lives, design the motion, execute it yourself
- Partner with CSMs on account strategy; you bring the commercial angle, they bring the implementation depth
- Engage directly with finance teams and economic buyers -- understand their workflows, speak their language, and connect Aleph's value to outcomes they actually care about
- Run pricing conversations and negotiate renewals and expansions with confidence
- Develop enough product fluency to discuss implementation details credibly and handle technical questions without flinching
- Track account health signals: usage trends, AI adoption, seat utilization, QBR context
- Flag at-risk accounts early and work with CSMs and leadership on save strategies
📋 What you bring
- You’re in a commercial role today, likely as a CSM, Account Manager, or Account Executive
- You’ve carried a quota and owned real revenue outcomes, whether through renewals, expansions, new business, or a combination of them
- You have either direct FP&A experience -ideally on a finance team at a software company- OR a high-rigor background in consulting, investment banking, or private equity
- You’re high slope and high ownership, with a track record of growing quickly in demanding environments
- You can go deep with CFOs and FP&A teams and speak their language from genuine understanding
