Who We Are

Maybern is transforming the way private fund managers effectively manage their funds through cutting edge technology: an operating system with deterministic guard rails underneath, agents on top. Maybern is founded by top engineering experts with deep knowledge of the fund management space.

Private funds manage $15T in capital and are growing at 20% YoY, but with increasing regulatory scrutiny and investor demands for transparency, the need for more modern, fully agentic solutions to help private fund CFOs is crucial.

This is where Maybern comes in.

We are equipping fund managers with a fully agentic operating system for private fund management, enabling private investment managers to focus on what they do best: driving returns for their investors. We are backed by leading venture capital firms and a large number of strategic investors.

Maybern is an NYC based company with a strong in-office culture to drive collaboration, and we are looking to make strong additions to our team.

What We're Looking For

As an Account Manager at Maybern, you'll own the post-sale client relationship and help customers realize measurable value from the platform. You'll build trusted relationships, coordinate internal teams around delivery and adoption, and guide customers through complex changes, challenges, and moments of ambiguity. This role blends executive relationship management, product fluency, and a sophisticated understanding of operational change management.

We're looking for an empathetic, highly organized Account Manager with a background in finance or a related client-facing field. You thrive on building rapport, managing difficult conversations directly, coordinating complex workstreams, and partnering cross-functionally to drive strong outcomes for customers and Maybern.

What You'll Do
  • Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders and develop a nuanced understanding of their goals, operating context, and concerns.

  • Serve as the accountable point person for customer outcomes across implementation, adoption, value realization, and ongoing account management.

  • Coordinate multiple accounts, deliverables, timelines, training needs, implementation activities, and internal dependencies.

  • Anticipate risks and second-order consequences, then create clear plans to keep customers and internal teams aligned.

  • Lead difficult conversations with candor and empathy when Maybern is working through product issues, data problems, delivery delays, or changing requirements.

  • Drive product adoption and coach clients on reporting and performance workflows, guiding them through Maybern's tools and sharing use case insights from peer firms.

  • Ensure business value realization by guiding clients through change management and aligning on measurable success metrics.

  • Translate customer needs into clear internal action plans and bring in Implementation, FDE, Product, Engineering, or fund-accounting expertise when appropriate.

  • Synthesize product feedback and manage product requests with clear communication and expectation setting.

  • Advocate for retention and identify potential expansion opportunities, partnering with Sales or other commercial stakeholders when a dedicated selling motion is appropriate.

  • Enable client advocacy, coordinating reference calls, case study participation, and user research engagements.

  • Maintain internal visibility, driving client health scoring, reporting, and leadership reviews that inform proactive client strategies.

  • Mentor and support junior CSMs, contributing to team knowledge-sharing and playbook development.

Who You Are
  • Client-Centered and Communicative: You build rapport, invest in relationships, keep stakeholders aligned, and handle difficult conversations with empathy and candor—even when the customer is frustrated or Maybern is working through an issue.

  • Organized and Forward-Looking: You can manage multiple accounts, dates, deliverables, dependencies, and internal resources while anticipating second-order consequences and planning ahead.

  • Analytical and Solutions Oriented: You solve complex problems using structured thinking, draw meaningful conclusions from data, and make sound decisions in ambiguity.

  • Collaborative and Influential: You build strong, cross-functional relationships and use your influence to align teams around shared goals and advocate effectively for client needs.

  • Domain and Product Expert: You bring deep knowledge of your industry and product space, applying insights to shape strategic decisions and deliver high-impact solutions.

The Three Capabilities You'll Bring
  • Fund-finance dimension: You understand the operating context of private funds and can establish credibility with finance and operations stakeholders.

  • People and relationship skills: You understand customers as people, build goodwill over time, and know how to communicate clearly through uncertainty.

  • Organizational capability: You turn complex customer needs into coordinated plans, keep work moving across teams, and maintain accountability for outcomes.

This Could Be a Great Fit If You Have…
  • 5+ years of experience in client relationship management, Investor Relations, consulting or engagement management, implementation, PMO, or a related customer-facing role

  • A solid foundation in private funds; fund finance background a plus but not required.

  • Proven track record managing executive-level relationships, complex customer lifecycles, or multi-workstream engagements.

  • Experience coordinating multiple internal teams, deliverables, and dependencies on behalf of a customer.

  • Strong strategic thinking paired with a bias for action — you can zoom out to the big picture but also dive into tactical detail when needed.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach clients and influence internal stakeholders.

  • Comfortable navigating product conversations; able to understand functionality, suggest use cases, and provide minimally detailed walkthroughs.

  • Experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, and Product teams to deliver coordinated client outcomes.

Benefits
  • We offer a competitive salary + equity package, comprehensive benefits, and a flexible family-friendly work environment. Some of our perks include:

    • Comprehensive healthcare benefits
