Accounting Assistant
Onsite / Full-time
Salary: $25-$28/hr DOE
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team as an Accounting Assistant. You will provide support within the Accounting and Human Resources department, handling a high volume set of tasks. You must possess effective communication skills and a high level of confidence in your abilities, as you will work in a fast-paced environment.
- Accounts Payable - processing invoices, check runs, and vendor management
- Accounts Receivable - billing/invoicing, deposits, and reconciliations
- Maintain accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions
- Respond to payroll-related inquiries and resolve issues
- Working as an entry-level accountant for payroll-related audit, payroll reports, and other related duties
- Assist with annual tax and compliance documents and year end 1099’s
- Support accounting activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness of invoice creation and entry
- Verify data by comparing it to source documents
- Performs other accounting and finance duties as required
- Entry-level position; minimum 2-year college or associate's degree (emphasis/specialization in Accounting, Finance, or related field)
- 3 years of relevant Accounting experience
- 2 years recent experience with QuickBooks (desktop: Required, online exp prefer)
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
- Strong analytical skills; extremely organized with great attention to detail
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and handle multiple
