Finance Manager

Compensation:

$30.00-$37.00 per hour

Summary of the position:

The accounts receivable specialist is responsible for the performance of day-to-day financial transactions involving accounts receivable. From the processing of customer payments, processing invoices, accounts receivable collections and maintaining customer accounts, other related processes.  The role also provides administrative support. 

Duties and responsibilities:

  • The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

    • Supports the invoicing process and posting to the accounting software.

    • Issuing customer invoices (mail, e-mail, web portal)

    • Over sees and is responsible for the timely collection of past due invoices.

    • Assists with customer payment information into the accounting software. (ACH, checks, cash, credit card payments).

    • Set-up of new customer accounts in the accounting software.

    • Set-up of Hitachi as a vendor for customers as needed.

    • Support the credit approval of new and existing customers.

    • Maintain customer accounts by issuing credit memos, debit memos, refunds, etc.

    • Reconciling customer accounts.  Maintaining various other accounting and financial records as required.

    • Answers customer and internal inquiries regarding customer accounts. Help problem solve customer complaints.

    • Review customer statements.

    • Provide audit support as necessary.

    • Assist with special projects as necessary.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Associate degree in accounting preferred

Professional experience:

  • One-two year’s previous experience

  • Microsoft Excel proficient

  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and in teams, prioritize tasks and deliverables.

  • Knowledge of SAP is a plus.

  • Able to prepare written correspondence/reports in a clear/concise manner.
